Incas and Astecas

The ones still sacrificed human flesh to their gods in 16thC and both did not know how to produce pure iron when the spaniards arrived.

I remeber they did not even use wheels to build carts to transport something on them. Though they invented the wheel and buildt tops for their kids - now that is an idylic culture. Too bad we made the first contact ...

That`s what we call culture. Every place has its own. The catholic church used to do worse things (and still does).

how to produce pure iron when the spaniards arrived.

They had no need!

I`m not here to say which race is the best and I don't want to start any kind of pointless discussion. I just think to say that such a race is better than other one it`s a stupid thing to do.

And I'm not here to point out, you may not have realized it, i'm with you on that, as I said "Too bad we made the first contact ..."

Any of you read "Guns germs and steel" by Jared Diamond? It's a great book explaining some basic reasons why some cultures developed faster than others. It takes the story of how 100 spaniards defeated the Mayan empire, and explains multiple factors leading to this extraordinary event.

One example, the simple shape of continents. A wide geography like the one enjoyed by Europe and Asia means a similar climate across borders, the spread of cattle, as well as people and ideas. The north South spread of the Americas for example, made many cultures isolated from one another, animals also wouldn't travel very far from north to south, and people were less inclined to do so, so cultures didn't interact a much, and share technologies.

If someone is coming from an African country where in some areas 30% of the population has HIV, probably smart to get them tested and have them show you the paperwork. Can't turst anyone with your life.

the man was an asshoe. and we are not way too tolerant. just because he was a heartless hateful bas*ard doesn't mean that everyone is.

Polish tolerance to asians & africans?

I am an indian asian from the UK and thinking of visiting krakow or warsaw in the near future for a friend's birthday. I will be visiting in a mixed ethnicity group of asian, african and oriental asian but my polish friends in the UK have advised us to be vigilant from the locals and watch our backs. Its not exactly what i wanted to hear from a native, however i am trying to do some research to weigh up my options.

In the UK we have a multi cultural society, its not perfect but in most cases widely tolerared. I have many friends with different nationality and ethnicity, even alot of polish and slovak friends. So can anyone share any light of the general polish tolerance towards asians and blacks. Also, am having trouble deciding between krakow and warsaw, my mind is telling me krakow due to the high student population, hopefully intellect interaction between the locals.

In all likelihood, you'll just get looks. Even I get that as a white Scot (generally by older people). I feel like telling them to feck off and avert their gaze as I'm not that different. Just avoid certain housing estates and you'll be fine.
