I think we are too nice and too submissive. We never believe in ourselves enough and tend to be overrun by other nationalities. There are so many of us in the world - EVERYWHERE, but we don't even have a decent representation in county or state government. Never mind the federal.

I agree to some point. And we always have low-paid jobs even, if we are very well educated.
We really don't believe in ourselfs and have a low self-esteem.
That's why many of us are racist and nationalist too. You know, the only one thing they have is to think they are better than those "blacks, hispanics, asian ppl"etc.

...somethin looks quite strange to me.. i noticed that poles ( like brasilians or spanishes) were the only ones having PL after nickname... it seemed a clear demonstration of being proud of nationality ( it is a good good thing) ...

aren't poles very proud of their nationality? unfortunately here in italy too many people are unsatisfied bout government and they start talking bad about the whole country...it's a thing hurtin a lot ...

I was referring to all the abuse people had encountered on this forum. Even though it was mainly coming from trolls it was stil difficult to take.

Your definition of a troll is anyone who disagrees with your tunnel vison of denial you live in.

That explains alote. Thanks for clearing anything I didn't understand.

Hey, so why so many educated polish people grab a broom instead a pen and a paper?
That's the ones I had in mind. Not you and me. I can't stand it and I don't like it.
They write about us the way they SEE us. Unfortunately, that's the image.

Yet, at a polish party gathering everyone dwells about their wonderful life in Poland and what great jobs they had. Please, no need to chew my butt off. :) I don't mean EVERYBODY literally, but if you have a chance to associate a little bit with Polonia, you know what I mean.

I don't see anybody with low self esteem here and I wish it was the norm, not exception.

Hey, so why so many educated polish people grab a broom instead a pen and a paper?

I think there's nothing wrong with grabbing a broom instead of a pen and a paper (if you are a young person at least). In Poland I was a student and even when I was 20-22 I was doing nothing but study. Then I went to the US and started to grab a broom and it allowed me to appreciate hard work. Some people end their careers as broom grabbers, but most go on and go to school and achieve much more. So it is sometimes a good lesson.

I feel nowadays there are too many young Polish people in Poland who think doing menial jobs is something derogatory and grabbing a pen is a dream job.

As far as grabbing a broom goes. There are many employers in the US that offer to sponsor PL people. It's an easy way to come and better your education..or whatever it is you wish to do..hey it's work...perfect for a student

Your defintion of a troll is anyone who disagrees with your tunnel vison of denial you live in

LOL you're the one who answered. Feeling a bit like one?

bolo, I waited on tables when I was going to college. There's nothing wrong with doing a menial job and study at the same time to better yourself.

It is sad, when people get caught up in it and still do menial jobs a decade later...

that is true. We are little snobbish. There is nothing wrong with menial job....

But- if someone works as builder, butcher,....in Poland it would be nice if he could do similar job on emigration- in the end of the day it someone profession.

The worst is if someone who is engineer, teacher, doctor....moves abroad do basic job year after year, loose all confidence and never moves on....

I suppose its down to who you are as person and how determined you are to achive your goals.

i guess it also depends on what your goals, ambitions are... what are the reason for moving abroad... are these being achieved... were the sacrifices made worth it...

I'm moving abroad because I'd follow my woman to hell if I had too. Luckily for me she is Polish and not devil spawn.

My oppinion of polish people compare what I have read on this site.
The problem beginns at home. In your own family your own town and your own country. You are very eager to tell how wonderfull your country is and how bad developed country are bad and western culture is so slutty. But still you want to move to this slutty place, and all because of better life. Material things and education and salary and promotion. You dont understand how people in these country can not appreciat you for your pure thoughts and open heart. Well dont underastemate us, I have seen people who come from east world and undeveloped countries complain about hard life and little salary and corrupt government, but still I see their vishion of people who are educated and who work with the broom or concreet on the streets. They look at the worker as a slave who should work for them when they finish university. But they dont understand who makes them able to study in the university. That is all the people who are willing to lift a broom, because country has more need for the workers then the lawyer or the. Hard labor makes a person hard and strong and also fearless and tight. These people look at plessure most revording after hard work and you call it slutty. While you look out the window from your office or the classroom window, take a look at the worker one day and thank him/her for cleaning your path, so your shoues dont get dirty, dont look at him as slave. Respect your country and the need for sacrifice so your children may have better life in the future, Then you can understand how the country was build up. Not by the lawyer or the buisnessmen, but the worker who pick up the stone and build your house ot the fisherman who brought the country the fish and income to make the country live, and keapt the life in you ansestor, Dont ask what can your country do for you, ask what can you do for your country

Love and tolerance is are code

You should be a Labor Union leader. What country are you from.

That's why many of us are racist and nationalist too. You know, the only one thing they have is to think they are better than those "blacks, hispanics, asian ppl"etc

I think racism is actually an instinct.
I think it triggers fear
The reason I say this is because German Shepards dogs don't have to be trained to attack. If you raise them around white people their whole life. They learn to recoginze patterns and people. So if you bring a black person around them when they have never been around any black people. Than they will start growling, and their hair will stand up like they are ready to attack. The dog is not racist he is scared of something he knows nothing about and his only defence is to attack are to run.

People are the same way. Only we can rationalize are thought and decide not to treat people differently because we don't understand them. Or fear they my hurt us. People are always in compitition with each other. So I don't think that the polish are doing anything different than any other human being. We are all the same no matter how different we look are talk.

tolerance towards other races

There are quite a few people on this forum who assume that Polish are not tolerant becuse we are not multi-cultural country.
I don't agree with it and find it little annoying.

What about UK, France, Germany,USA .......are they so tolerant? Not really, multi - culture is imposed on them and they don't have choice that is why there are so many ethnic districts there.

Polish People are way too tolerant. Example: Cameroonian Refugee Simon Mokele

He tricked Polsih girls into not using a condam by telling them that is was Racsist to assume he had HIV as an African man. End result, he played the race card and they got infected.

If someone is coming from an African country where in some areas 30% of the population has HIV, probably smart to get them tested and have them show you the paperwork. Can't turst anyone with your life.

Hey if they are big enough idiots to sleep with some refugee from africa well gods trying to tell them some thing. Whats sick sh!t is these trash wh0res sleeping with them in the first place. IF they stuck with there own this wouldent be a problem! but hey as you all preach! mix it up! its for the good! Thats why I always ask a girl is she has been with a non-white. If she says yes I walk away. Bottom line. The fact that you people support this infux of third world immigrants is beyond me. If you wish to wipe out your nation just like in africa from HIV/AIDS then god help you.

If you raise your daughter/son with proper respect , value of race and culture she will be ammune to this, him or her will know better.
