You forgot the obligatory pointy hats. But don't worry, they issue them to everyone at the border.

id get some skinny jeans and boots/stilletos, thats very in right now all girls wear them. just make sure you look good at all times, no creased old t-shirts or wellies, Polish women like to take care of themselves and they always look gawjuss lol. make-up and nice hair will be pretty much required, even if its just a trip down the shop. so strut your stuff!

Oh Common what do you think they wear? straw hats with clown costumes? What do Americans wear? I think its a very broad spectrum from New York to LA.

Dress comfortable and sensible, the basic rule being no Nazi or Ruski out fits and youll be just fine.

Blue overalls for the men. For the ladies, headscarves are obligtory to protect them from the long winters which last an average of 340 days a year.

As an American please dont wear a trenchcoat with a baseball cap. Its generally considered offensive throughout the rest of the world.

Yes that is true. Even for the most miniscule task such as popping down the local shop, Poles look dapper. I met a UK client yesterday and he looked like shite, scruffy worn out jeans, not the meant to look worn out though..... he had seriously worn out JEANS. And a dirty "looked like it couldn't handle another wash" crappy fishermans coat to boot. You would never guess this guy is probably a paper millionaire.

Im thinking come on man be an ambassidor for the UK at least.

Ladies wear Cocco Chanell.

Coco (madamoiselle) Chanelle actually just bought some for the wife and it costs.

You can allways don a dirty set of clothes with a rat under your nose and youll not be out of place though.

Maybe in the metropolitan areas they do. Anywhere else and the favourite attire of the Polish man about town is 10 year old knitted sweater with tracksuit bottoms and a pair of battered shoes. Most of them look like they've covered their body in glue and jumped through a wardrobe.

I've just came back from Poland and found most of the fashions very similar to the USA/UK highstreet fashion atm. I was also concerned what I was going to wear but I fitted in fine with what i wear here in the UK.

There was the odd extreme fashion that i perceived as different but on the whole i noticed boots with skirts/skinny jeans very popular, black was also a popular colour to wear, especially out of a night, the girls also liked showing off their nicely toned stomachs too hehe

As for alsways looking prestine, yes the women appeared to take care of themselves but i wouldn't worry too much about going all out spending lots of money on professional hair, tan, nails etc so long as you make a reasonable home-made effort you will be fine!

Hope that helps! :)

Wow..what a slap down to all those elegant, properly sized, slim Polish girls..................!!

No 1 Polish girls do go to hair dressers....

No 2 They dont need a tan applied aka...spray on agent orange look-alike...majority have a natural sallow complexion, tan very easily and naturally.

No 3 They seem far less artificial than most UK girls...................at least in the nails department...:)

So do Brit, Swede, German, Irish girls.... your point is?

No 2 They dont need a tan applied aka...spray on agent orange look-alike...majority have a natural sallow complexion, tan very easily and naturally.

Rubbish. Some do. Some don't.

And a tan isn't the be all and end all.... I have similar colouring to Julianne Moore and I get hit upon all the time ;)

No 3 They seem far less artificial than most UK girls...................at least in the nails department...:)

Again... what a croc. Some do and some don't. There are babes and mingers in Poland just like there are in England.

Are you bitter about UK girls? LOL

not true, you get that if youre lucky. my younger sisters do, but i dont. yet still they go for sunbeds all the time. im pale and ineteresting lol, unless i get some fake tan involved. and i dont like having fake nails, they annoy me. i do have my hair done on a regular basis though :).

There are babes and mingers in Poland just like there are in England.

and some of them DO overdo their makeup and bleach their hair too much, not mentioning the tango shade skin madness.

Not quite true. A lady all undressed strutting her stuff is far nicer (unless she's doing so for money).
