I need advice I'm going to Poland for the first time in September because my aunt had a baby and asked me to be the godmother. What color dress should I wear? My friend picked out a dress that is black and white but I don't know black is mostly for funerals...How do people in Poland usually dress for christenings? Thanx :]

just something elegant, dress-up that's it, there's no dress code for it, really. just don't go club-style, that wouldn't fit the church setting ;). color doesn't really matter.

christening is it called? i always thought it was baptism? or are they both the same?

I'd like to add that some (mostly older) people find black clothes funeral-like, so if you want to be on a safe side and not to offend anyone, you might try to avoid black, or mix it with some lively color(s)

Wear a one color dress not loud and you will look fine.
