before your next cup of coffee is over

lol Lotkers.

Espresso I hope concentrated like the poetic word.

Happy to help M but it's a shame it didn't reach rural Poland. Seminal works don't come by that often. :)

One line poem:

If you'd made it so the first line repeated itself it would almost be Skaldic. Most likely Hagar yes but it could be Horribly good.

And yet it seems to have filled your writing to the core with ripeness in that sweet kernel of a line. :)

I enjoy fancy language but it has nothing to do with poetry.

nothing to do with poetry

If you are looking at instead of reading poetry then you're right of course, it has nothing to do with language fancy or otherwise. It's probably instead the beautiful sound of nihility vacuously echoing echoing

All hope abandon ye who enter in writes an interested party upon spying a writer's workshop I forget who though Will Self probably. Pain, Unutterable pain Death yes.

Am I positively capable of seeing the fancy language and enjoying it yes I hope we all are but do I have the capability to detach that from what makes it poetic. Negative. Good.

No we're getting somewhere.

I enjoy fancy language

Then all is not lost. :) Poetry the clue is in the name should only exist to delight not teach nor moralise. Or depress teenagers in schools across the land.

Two out of three is antithetically bad. :)

People may also comment on the intensity of the poems written

Ode to Poland

Poland is beast despite being oppressed
The women of Poland are truly the best
Their glorious football team beasts all the rest
Thus prostrate yourself and join in the fest

The Salute

Every day
I pass The Flag,
And look at it with glee,
I raise my arm,
"Salute" I yell-
How greatly I love thee

A bit of tongue in cheek doggerel from the PRL period:

KTO TY JESTEŚ? - POLSKI KMIOTEK.
JAKI ZNAK TWóJ? - SIERP I M£OTEK.
GDZIE TY MIESZKASZ? - W POLSKIM KRAJU.
KTO NIM RZĄDZI? - JA NIE ZNAJU.

Literal unrhymed translation: WHo are you? - A Polish serf. What is your symbol? - The sickle and hammer. Where do you live? - In the Polish land. WHo rule it? - I don't know (in Russian).

(This is a take-off on the children's patritoic poem "Kto ty jestes - Polak mały...")
