Sorry Dzhakin dont meam to be rude but have you, had anxiety or panic attacks yourself?. no ok

actually yes I have I've been on benzo's before and actually am a manic depressive so yeah I do know. Also the xanax enters into the blood stream and isn't as time controlled as other medicines such as klonopin, dalmane, or even restoril. Thats why if your going to take it so often instead of for a short period of time they prescribe other thing than xanax.

jon,

Just stop reading this forum and see a doc about it once you get here. See if you can get some before you leave to tide you over.

People giving you grief here are idiots and are contributing to your anxiety rather than helping.

I would also suggest that you ask your doctor to write (in English; I am sure there are polish doctors in Malmo so if you can get it in Polish) a history of your illness and what kind of treatment you were getting, so you can bring it with you to Poland and give it a doctor there.

So, I'm in a similar boat, although with a totally different medication:

So, just to confirm, you need a script for all the same meds which would require one in the US (generally?)

You'll need to get this from a doctor, and I can find one here statmedica.com

And the drugs don't cost US prices, but only 30-40 PLN for most generics?

Thanks in advance for all your help guys. Interesting thread.

what you are doing is medicating without trying to find what is the underlying problem. i

I agree.. pills only mask the problem.. unfortunately.. and like you said long term use
only prolongs whatever it is that needs attention. and can damage certain organs.

just take a bubble bath.. :)

So let me say this if I took an SSRI would that be ok everyone seems to be on the band wagon hear slagging of benzo's, yes there not what people want to take for panic attacks and yes people abuse them but until the problem gets sorted thats what we have to take other wise we have no life.

Ive been on many SSRI and there the worst drug I have ever taken for anxiety and panic attacks and 99% of poeple I know agree and people get hooked on then to but you wont find people talking about that, all I can say if you have not suffered from it or know what your talking about do not post and assume your a doctor.

Taking 2mg of Xanax is not going to **** your liver up if you lead a fairly healthy life the flip side is that many people if not being treated for anxiety drink silly amounts of booze (not everyone of course but many do), that will kill your liver for sure.

Anyway its up to me what I put in my body and how I cope with this.

Yes jones your right but I'm finding this thread a little funny now.
