IT HAS COME TO MY ATTENTION,WHILE WALKING ABOUT BY THE RIVER OR IN THE WOODS AND STREETS THERE IS SO MUCH RUBBISH AND LITTER. I HAVE NOTICED THAT THE POLES LOVE SPIPPITING AND YOU CAN SEE SALIVA ALL OVER THE STREETS, I THINK ITS DISGUSTING !!! AND I NEVER EXPECTED IT FROM SUCH A PRETTY PLACE LIKE POLAND SOME PEOLE ARE REAL PIGS !!!!!!!

Yeah, I do agree. Some people just shouldn't be allowed to go outside home. The other thing... Polish prisoners should be working instead of sitting and doing nothing all day - they can for example clean up the woods.

Heh, yes, trehe is a lot of rubbish, litter, but its not as bad as in UK for example. When i was in Glasgow for the first time it was a great shock for me. Its looks like we all should do sth against it, wherever we are.

I spend a lot of time in Poland and find it to be much cleaner than the UK. That doesn't mean it is spotless and yes, there are places where it is dirty but to start a thread entitled "why is Poland so dirty ?" is misleading in my opinion.

The beaches are clean. No crisp packets or beer bottles as in Blackpool. The water is crystal clear unlike other UK coastlines.

When I walk through Polish cities I don't see chewing gum all over the pavement.

On my most recent visit to Poland I spent a lot of time visiting many Polish lakes and walking through forests and again I noticed how clean it was. I even commented to my girlfriend about it.

Atleast i have concern about Polands nature and rubbish problems.....I also work and have a life i cant clean up everything alone. But the worst is that its not only the youth that litter i see even see adults that litter and i think to my self , hell these people are like kidds..

Now you're trying to be really friendly toward us and thanks for that but the reality doesn't look like you say and we all know it :-)

Poland is developing, at the moment people are concerned about emplyment and basic necessities.. if you visit greece although a supposedly develped nation there are signs of dirt,, every country has its time to grow and find its own feet... poland is getting there soon

If it is like that why were the French who invented the perfumes and not the English?

i am just giving information, it could have been like that there also.. remember this was the time of the industrial reveolution and many many people were factory workers

Not having a bath does not not mean not washing. Yes I was brought up in a house without a bathroom and with an outside toilet and yes bath night was in a tin bath in the middle of the lounge but it didn't mean I did not have a full wash every night in the sink. You have just accused the whole of my country of being unhygenic and that is, and never was, true.

My apologies to Southern for misattributing the original quote to him

But you create stereotypes.Since now the greatest perfume producers and consumers are the French, there has to be a reason for that.
Do you think factory workers are smelly, while farmers and fellachs are clean?
