LondonChick 31 | 1,133 21 Oct 2008 / #1Is burlesque a popular movement in Poland? Are there many burlesque shows and clubs?
Bartolome 2 | 1,085 21 Oct 2008 / #3Burlesque... what does exactly this word mean ? If it's ''kabaret'', then yes, it's massively popular, there are many ''kabareciarze'', who often appear on TV and tour Poland and sometimes go abroad (mainly to the UK :)
gtd 3 | 639 21 Oct 2008 / #4No its not the same.It is sexy kabaret. Girls stripping and singing but not nasty like a strip club.
Switezianka - | 463 21 Oct 2008 / #6I don't think so. I like such stuff but I've never heard of anything like that going on in Poland.I've only seen one show that used burlesque convention in PL but it was actually a concert and the artist was American.
OP LondonChick 31 | 1,133 21 Oct 2008 / #7Mmmm.... mixed responses. So nothing like Ditta von Tease etc. Sexy but as an artform?
