Is burlesque a popular movement in Poland? Are there many burlesque shows and clubs?

Burlesque... what does exactly this word mean ? If it's ''kabaret'', then yes, it's massively popular, there are many ''kabareciarze'', who often appear on TV and tour Poland and sometimes go abroad (mainly to the UK :)

No its not the same.

It is sexy kabaret. Girls stripping and singing but not nasty like a strip club.

I don't think so. I like such stuff but I've never heard of anything like that going on in Poland.

I've only seen one show that used burlesque convention in PL but it was actually a concert and the artist was American.

Mmmm.... mixed responses.

So nothing like Ditta von Tease etc. Sexy but as an artform?
