the demand the price and you better supply, that's all they know. the other doesn't matter for some reason.

Not quite sure what you're trying to say but no doubt it's right ;)

what i am saying is that poles don't understand the true principle of supply/demand and may never get it. that is not how it's worked since '45 it will be a while before it catches on.

Yup. I knew you were right.

I've also noticed that the idea of buying a larger quantity leads to a better price doesn't seem to have caught on either

What is so great and intelligent about buying larger quantites, so ytou saave a couple of zlotys. You think that Poles are so thick they have not figured that out, maybe consider that they know this but for exaple 1. might not have enough money to buy the larger pack in the first place 2. dont give a **** about cheap marketing ploys to make you buy more **** , and instead just buy what they need when they need it and in what quantity they need it nevermind the price.

Giles owns his own property and rents a shop from BubbaWoo who is an English landlord and charges a below market value rent for the property

It would be nice to hear from Giles, I understood he was a failure in Poland and had a marriage break up, I may have the wrong person. hmm I think the man was on drugs and a friend of Bubbawho

Far from being a faliure, Ive heard that both Giles and BubbaWoo made huge amounts of money pimping Polish hos to rich foreigners and selling crack to local school kids. I am all for entreprenurial flair and believe both Giles and BubbaWoo should become involved in local politics. They obviously have a lot to contribute to the future success of Poland.

I have to agree with a lot of what you say and I like the way you differentiate between the Poland most of us love and the day light robbery that is called

bureaucracy.
There really needs to be a shake up of Polish offices and systems. I particularly do not like the Notary (God complex) in this country, although I do think Notaries are a good idea, but they just provide a service and not should not be a syndicate.

It also turns Polish people away from opening businesses in Poland, which is a big shame. But it doesn't look like anything is going to change soon.

Sometimes I'm so cheeky I astound even myself

hmm I think the man was on drugs and a friend of Bubbawho

I have it on good authority that neither of them have ever taken drugs of any discript, except for medicinal purposes. Both of them hold positions of immense power and influence and it just wouldn't be appropriate for them to be off their faces most of the time. Which they are not. As has already been established. For the record. Twice now.

How stupid of me not to think otherwise (put that on the list along with being cheats, dishonest and arrogant)

Both of them hold positions of immense power and influence

Do they belong to the Polish mafia???

I once tried to get credit with GE Moneybank. They wanted all my documents for ZUS and my firm, tax etc. Everything was fine until they asked for my PESEL. I handed the guy my ID. He said there was no PESEL on it (I have it on an official letter from the Ratusz). I was then told I couldn't have any credit because i didn't have a PESEL on my ID.

I went to the immigration office, who looked at me like I was from Mars... "The card you want doesn't exist! Anyway, you're from EU, you don't need a card to live here!" Well, they said it in Polish (cos nobody in the immigration office in Olsztyn speaks English).

GE replied to my letter by saying, "We don't have to tell you why you were refused". No, you don't... but you did and it was ludicrous.

Likewise, trying to buy my car 'on the firm' I was told I couldn't do that with 5 year credit because my ID had less than 5 years and i might run away to UK. My Polish wife said, "Give me 5 years credit then and I'll run away tomorrow."

Don't start me on when I first tried to register as a one-man firm...

I tried to get a contract phone here, Took in my UK bank statements proving that I could easilly afford the 150 pln per month and they still refused as my document from Urzad Miasta expires in 2012,

I also got loads of hassle from the police after being stopped in my car (UK registered) for not having a Polish registration document. I showed them my MOT certificate, Insurance Certificate and V5 and they charged me 100 pln for not having polish documents, How ******* stupid are these people.
