Like a bag of chips in the US is 99 cents or a dollar let's say...
How much is a bag of chips in Poland? 1 Złotych? I am trying to understand what the standard money unit is. In some countries 1 USD could be like 1000 of WHATEVER but that 1000 doesn't mean anything, it's only a number. Anyone understand what I'm saying?
and what the heck is that? how are we supposed to answer such question :) do you have chips sold in one size bag only? in Poland the prices start at 0.70-1.00 zł (for a 20-22 grams bag)
still not helping :) I can eat both 22 grams bag or 50 grams at once, no such thing as "single serving" in Poland.
If I asked how much for a beer in US, what would you answer?
(I'd be having in mind 0.5 l bottle, as it's the most popular size, but I guess your first thought could be different, don't know if you buy beers mostly in 0.5 l bottles, but I guess not)
A portion of chips in a small restaurant in a village can be bought for 1.50 PLN A portion of chips in a nice restaurant in central Warsaw can be bought for 9.50 PLN
If I asked how much for a beer in US, what would you answer?
what are you guys going on about? one serving is one small bag of chips. one beer costs anywhere from $2 for Olympia to 7 or 8 for premium import. that's a 12oz or 330ml.
Lol you guys made a huge fuss about this. I should've been more cogent with my question. I just wanted to know if the 1 zloty was the standard base amount of cash.
I said a bag of chips because its always a dollar which in the US is the standard base...
Ok ok thanks. That is all I wanted to know. I know about the currency rates, I am not blind to the technology available. Just wanted to see what the Polish consider as a dollar, not how much the dollar's exchange rate is.
anyway, I bought today a bag of chips (especially for this thread, well, not really, but I had an excuse): 33 grams, (Frito Lays, Paprika flavour), 1.00 złoty.
