Andy1968 3 | 16 30 Oct 2007 / #1Hi My wife and I bought a Cyfrowy Polsat Polish TV set up in Poland and have got it set up in England.We have had it properly installed by an engineer.Trouble is we get no sound on TVN and TVN Siedem is there any ideas about to why these two only have picture?Any help would be gratefully received.Could it be the decoder?
Krzysztof 2 | 973 31 Oct 2007 / #2I had this problem too (with TVN and TVN 7), then I changed decoder's sound settings (there's a button for it on the remote) for those 2 channels (there are stereo and Dolby Surround options) and it works now - I have no idea why, because my TV set supports Dolby as well, but I guess there must be something messed up with TVN's signal

Krzysztof 2 | 973 31 Oct 2007 / #4Is it just a button or do i have to go into a menu?Well, I don't know all decoder models, but on mine it's just a button on the remote (an icon of a small loudspeaker and a question mark after it) - it's in the upper left section of the remote (the second or third button from the top on the left)
telefonitika 31 Oct 2007 / #5Andy1968did you just buy the decoder andy? or did you buy the decoder and dish from poland and bring back to the UK?i am looking to upgrade as i currently have a old echostar dsb-606 model decoder .. but think the cyfra+ system maybe better?

telefonitika 31 Oct 2007 / #7Cheers Andy will bear that in mind next time i am over i watch most online in bed but would rather want on the tv downstairs and my daughter is interested in watching polish cartoons in order for her to try to hear the language and absorb it :)
spiritus 69 | 645 2 Oct 2008 / #8Merged: My Polish decoder box (Polsat Cyfrowy UK) is now locked !!I live in the UK and subscribed to Cyfrowy Polsat. Today I got a message saying"decoder locked please contact service provider" and now I cannot view any channels.Anyone else had similar problems ?
