I just saw this guy 'Lonstar' on a doco on tv about 30 mins ago (SBS Melbourne). He's some sort of country music singer - totally americanised by the look of it. I love country music but hearing it sung in Polish was def weird.

This guy said his father used to listen to some illegal US radio broadcast (very dangerous during communist times) while he was growing up in Poland and that one day his father left the radio on and a country music show came on and he fell in love. He apparently has a line dancing school too!

Every year there is in Poland POLISH COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL in Mrągowo I was there 6 years ago and every year there play some american country music star.
Festival in this year is between 27 and 29 July here you can read about it
