shopgirl 6 | 928 26 Apr 2007 / #38I have set my keyboard this way (like FISZ's instuctions) and I keep the language tool bar in the system tray at the bottom of the screen so I can switch back and forth easily. I find that if I don't type words with the correct Polish letters, Poltran can't translate them for me. I have considered putting little pieces of tape over my keys to help me learn where things are. You have to hit SHIFT and press the punctuation keys to get additional letters. :)
Antos 6 | 18 23 Sep 2007 / #39Just some links to microsoft pages how to change the layout.Windows Vista : tinyurl/3btgklWindows XP : tinyurl/ar3r

crkclrdgrl 1 | 2 25 Oct 2007 / #41Hello. You can configure your computer keyboard to type in Polish by going to the Regional and Language settings on your computer in the Control Panel. After you have configured your keyboard to type in Polish, you can press the Ctrl and Alt keys and then a letter and you'll get a Polish letter. :) I hope this helps.

z_darius 14 | 3,964 27 Dec 2007 / #45Polish Keyboard Drivers for various versions of Windows are here: grzegorj.w.interia.pl/keyboard/indexgb.htmlNo ALT codes to remeber just ALT+letter (not ALT+CODE). Works great.

icecreamfairy8 - | 3 11 May 2008 / #47I'm having problems with the ś key. I do alt-s, but nothing happens. All the comes up is a hp screen with bunch of numbers on it.
Polonius3 993 | 12,357 14 May 2008 / #48If you don't like fumbling with the ALT key simply use the Polish 214 keyboard where Polish diacritics are in the right place. Also, the Z is where it belongs on a Polish keyboard -- in the top letter row betweeen T and U, not in the lower-right corner.
ForsakenOne - | 38 17 May 2008 / #50hold alt and press 0156 on your numeric keyboardAlso, pressing ctrl is only needed when you hold left alt. If you press right alt, you don't have to use ctrl. So, right alt + s should give you nice ś if you have polish keyboard layout installed. Make sure you use Polish (programmers) layout and not Polish 214.
Polonius3 993 | 12,357 18 May 2008 / #51I understand there is a Polish keyboard No. 214 which solves the problem. Anyone familiar with it?
Easy_Terran 3 | 312 20 May 2008 / #52Regular keyboard has Polish letters placed as they are placed on a regular Polish typing machine where ;'][/., are. That's why one should use programmer's Polish keyboard, where all Polish letters are accessed by using right ALT and a letter (alt+s for ś)Did even make sense here?
icecreamfairy8 - | 3 22 May 2008 / #53I tried doing that, but I have the same problem. I have the right polish (programmers) thing, and i pressed alt 0156, but for some reason it won't work
M0NiiSiiA 3 Jan 2009 / #54dziękuję EUROLA!!ive been trying for so long to find this out and you helped me!hehe thankss
Eurola 4 | 1,902 3 Jan 2009 / #55I'm glad it was helpful. Kudos to you for searching and reviving the 'old" thread. :)
yessoos 20 Mar 2009 / #57I tried doing that, but I have the same problem. I have the right polish (programmers) thing, and i pressed alt 0156, but for some reason it won't workPerhaps it's because you don't have a proper code page installed on your PC. To do so:Control Panel -> Regional and Language Optionsthen click 'Advanced' tab and choose Polish language from drop-down box. Also make sure, the 'ISO 8859-2 Central Europe' code page is selected (in the window below the drop-down box). This also helps when letters are not being displayed properly in some polish apps.
travlinkitty 9 Jun 2009 / #59I did get all the letters above to work using Alt + letter EXCEPT the L = £ or łPlease help?!
