Need help with a Polish nursery rhyme about a spider.

Does anyone know one about a spider? I have no idea how to spell it, but sounding it out it goes something like: eja bubba podra viena kogiswapka tossibia. I know this is entirely off but it's a rhyme my babcia used to do...and now that she's gone I'm at a loss to find it. If anyone could please transcribe it both in polish and english I would greatly appreciate it!!

Merged: Polish poem or nursery rhyme?

Is anyone familiar with a Polish nursery rhyme or poem that begins:
Lizzie Lizzie, spinning top,
Ever dancing, never stop.
Dancing in the morning dew,
Barefoot tap, one two, one two.

Lizzie Lizzie, spinning top,
Ever dancing, never stop.
Dancing in the sun’s warm rays,
Shining brightly at midday.

Do you know the author, anythig about it or the words in Polish?

I have to point out the obvious and bring to your attention that that poem or nursery rhyme is in English not Polish.
What makes you think the author is Polish?

Edit* by Floella Benjamin (Author)

I just googled a small section of the poem.

Oh, sorry. I found it in a collection of nursery rhymes from other countries. It was in English, apparently translated from the Polish. It had other verses. I was just wondering if it was well-known and thought someone on this forum might be familiar with it since many of you speak both Polish and English. I can write the publisher for more information, but thought my question might be answered more easily here.

that seems to be an english rhyme.. may want to search for the big nursery rhyme thread around here.. most, if not all, polish NR's are in there.

It was in English, apparently translated from the Polish.
