conjugation of verb wspiąć się

I can't find the conjugation of the verb wspiąć się in any of my grammar books. I am taking a guess that it is conjugated like the verb spiąć, which according to my dictionary is conjugated: zepnę, zepniesz etc. So is wspiąć się conjugated wzepnę się, wzepniesz się etc?

Wspiąć się:

ja wespnę się
ty wespniesz się
on/ona/ono wespnie się

my wespniemy się
wy wespniecie się
oni/one wespną się

the conjugation of 'wspinać' will be different (different czas).

wspiąć - wespnę - wespniesz
spiąć - zepnę - zepniesz

wespnę, wespniesz etc is a future tense. in present it would be:

wspinam się
wspinasz się
wspina się

wspinamy się
wspinacie się
wspinają się

Hey, is it really in Polish?:) I guess the word"wspinac sie" in this case is related to climbing up a mountain, isn't it?

If so, the right conjugation in present tense is:

Ja wspinam się
Ty wspinasz się
On wspina się

My wspinamy się
Wy wspinacie się
Oni wspinają się

When it comes to future tense :

Ja będę się wspinał
Ty będziesz się wspinać
Ono będzie się wspinać

My będziemy się wspinać
Wy będziecie się wspinać
Oni będą się wspinać

i thought he asked about the future tense, cos he compared it to another verb which he conjugated using the future tense as well.


of course it is. tryb orzekający, czas przyszły, okres dokonany. your conjugation is in tryb niedokonany (eg. you will be climbing but we don't know if you will climb up).

Wspiąć się:

ja wespnę się
ty wespniesz się
on/ona/ono wespnie się

my wespniemy się
wy wespniecie się
oni/one wespną się

I beg to differ again, please forgive me. Future tense for "wspinać się" never be "wespnę się". This construction sounds very strange and I don't think would ever be used in proper Polish. I'm sure there is no such form "wespnę się" in any tense. "wespnę się' is not in Polish. The right form is będę się wspinał and that's that:)

Conjugation in tryb dokonany is not applicable to many Polish verbs. And "wspinać się" is one of them.

i hve always been very confident about my abilities, however perfect im not. of course not. ive just got this special talent of knowing when something sounds right, and when it doesnt. and usually i happen to be right ;).

hm....most of ordinary Poles do:) There are some verb forms that are seldom used or never for their rarity. Undoubtedly wespnę się is one of them:) Ok I should check it out before posting. I guess that special form of wespnę się can be found rahter in the usfeul links you have googled and it really was emphasized there as a curosity regarding that form:)

the lady said its perfectly correct to use that. to be honest i wouldnt be surprised to hear wzepne instead! i suppose most poles would say wejdę pod górę or something like that just to avoid making a mistake... ;)

Naprawdę "wespnę się" brzmi dziwacznie, chociaż rzeczywiście jest formą jak najbardziej prawidłową. No musisz to przyznać. Pozdrawiam:)

Wspiąć sie is indeed, wespnę się, wespniesz się, wespnij się, spiął się, wspięł się, wspięli się, wspiąwszy się.

oh thank you Michal, now we can sleep peacefully as you have okayed the translation. not sure about what the random order of forms and tenses represents, but you must be right. i am even ready to believe that

I'd maybe use "jeśli wespniesz się na palce, zobaczysz ...", but it can be avoided as well by using a simple "jeśli staniesz na palcach, ..."

for me the main reason is phonetic - all those future tense forms with the combination of -spn- consonants sound odd, even for Polish, and they don't have a very smooth pronounciation, that's why people may avoid these forms.

yeah i think that Krzysztof, these tenses might be more useful to poets or song writers, but i would be surprised to hear someone use them in common everyday language...
