Travel / Driving from Poznan to Croatia. Best way? [23]

Way too many tourists with the cruise ships. Hiring a car would've definitely been your best bet. I'd rather spend most of my time in Montenegro. Much nicer IMO.

Life / The Polish Hand Shake. [29]

or little hands!

Well, I wouldn't go this far...little men have little hands to match. I'm not the tallest, but fear my kung-fu grip :)

Life / The Polish Hand Shake. [29]

How come it feels like I am in an arm wrestling match whenever I shake A Polishmen's hand?

Because most men like a firm handshake and not a limp wrist.

Love / In your opinion, are most Polish women 'Easy'? [243]

This topic is rediculous. I know American women like this...and I'm sure there are many British, Aussie and Italian women just as easy. Have you evern seen American women abroad or on an exotic island somewhere? C'mon. If you knew anything about women in general, you'd know that some are easy and some are not.

USA, Canada / VISA TRAVEL TO USA [32]

I live in the UK and my friend lives in Poland - we plan to go to New York for a week next November - how likely is it that he will get a visa????? My other Polish friends has just said that he stands no chance unless he has got loads of money - anyone know anything about the situation?? Is it the same for travel to Canada??

Like Krysia said, his chances will be better if he has "strong ties" to Poland. Chances even bigger if he own's property or is still a student. He doesn't have to be rich, but have some money in a bank account. My GF got one after 2 tries...and it didn't cost loads of money. Good luck!!

Language / Can anyone help with spelling of Grandmother [53]

Americans pronunce BOB like BAB as if there was an A instead of an O

It depends on where you're from. Maybe in Boston MAss or sth, but in NY we say Bob with an o.

I have a book that my PL class gave me and it has Busia as the Grandmother. My teacher says it may be because the PL was Americanised. In PL I've never heard anyone refer to a grandmother like this, but I haven't lived there for a long period of time, so what do I know :) I usually hear babcia or a variation of that. Jaja for grandfather? lol...papy balls :)

USA, Canada / Why are the tickets to Poland from the US so expensive? [7]

It's expensive everywhere you look. I'm also in Bergen county and used a travel agency. I just paid $1,300. it's a seasonal thing. Go in the dead of winter and you can get a ticket for 7-800. You also have to think about the price of fuel. Good luck searching.

Travel / How Can I Not be the "Ugly American" Tourist in Poland? [97]

I won't argue that we can be loud sometimes, but some of us know how to act. We have far too many people here for me to speak on behalf of. I can say that in NYC the British are constantly being jailed for acting like jacka*ses, but I know there are proper British tourists as well. Some people shouldn't be able to leave their home country ;)

I've run into quite a few Americans in PL acting a fool, so I understand what you're saying. I'm just happy I'm not one of them :)

Love / Polish women are known for their beauty, but men are so ugly (most of).. [250]

What??? Crazy man!

I was just trying to prove sth, but thank you ;) Shell/Krysia ;) *Morning blushes

I think we all have the same reaction when we see someone ugly with someone attractive. The truth is, some people have had relationships with good looking people and doesn't always work out, so maybe it doesn't matter after that as long as they treat you well. It can also be that one of them is loaded ($).

But, who really cares about other couples?

I'm ugly and my gf is beautiful. What of it? Can't someone be loved for being a good person?

It's been discussed many many many times, Polish men have larger cocks than most europeans,

You must be from Manchester Miss ;)

Don't you have anything else to talk about?

Ho hum. Really, get over it. You must live a depressing miserable life constantly thinking about these things that you will never change. I feel bad for you.
