Technology for crossing rivers have improved a lot since then, I’m sure heroes would survive, just to **** off BB. Besides there would be no friendly fire incidents, we would not march with the French this time.

Coooooooooooool... In theory we're on the same side now. I just had to take a look at that saber one more time, he's sleeping. Someday it will be mine. It's a bit rusty and I don't feel like polishing it now, so let's just leave it at that before we start WWIII.

Sure you can, you look like a warrior to me even have a helmet to prove it, all you had to do is take a Polish citizenship, many did. and that my German friend would have been voluntary. :)

I’ll ask you the same thing. How many German citizens fought on the Polish side for Polish independence prior to 1918 or Austrian or Russian. There was no such thing as Polish citizen yet the Army was there.

Same with Wehrmacht. No myth. They were Polish citizens reclassified as Germans period because there might have been some German blood. I wonder did the Nazis really had a blood test that proved definitely someone is German?

For Germans outside of the Reich territory subscribing to the Volkliste I was voluntarily.

So you don’t get shot for treason or be evicted from his land, home etc, he had signed the damn papers. I wonder how voluntary is that? And when they came to draft his a$$?

It's Black and White in this regard that ONLY german citizens were allowed to serve in the Wehrmacht, not polish nationals.

You still believe that myth?

So "Poles" who served in the german forces and later say they were forced to by the Germans are forced in the same way as they were "forced" to subscribe voluntarily the Volkliste I.

Conscript is not volunteer is it so difficult to comprehand?

Point is that it's not all Black and White like you think. People found themselves in a difficult situation even if he might have German Blood, it's not automatic that he would volunteer his services for the Nazis or believed in the Ideology.

Doesn't sound so forgiving!

It’s also untrue, the only time that a Polish national serving in Wehrmacht could have been executed were those that committed treason and the penalty for that act was death. The proof was the pay book or if the soldier was serving in SS, if his playbook was issued prior to September 1st of 39 meant he willingly participated in the Invasion of Poland fully and willingly cooperating with enemy. That was the only time they could have been shot for treason for they were guilty and already convicted of treason by military tribunal, and that indeed happened. The rest were given a benefit of doubt and treated as unwilling participants given a choice either join free Polish forces or be taken as POW.

No foreigners were allowed into the Wehrmacht...you had to be german citizen! Period.

Why did you need Deutsche Volksliste than? Let me help you out, to reclassify them as Germans. Yet he was a Polish national prior to 1939. Why was there a need to steel Polish children to raise them as Germans if only Germans could be Germans? Why there were Russian SS units or Ukrainian or Baltic states or Scandinavian? Myth all myth.

Relax will you, it’s your people that make that distinction emphasizing Jewish whenever possible. Besides didn’t you argue that Jewish is used only for the religion, if so there’s no need to substitute Polish for Slavic when describing a wife of a Jew who is a Catholic Pole, after all to most foreigners Polish = Catholic, where Slavic dose not.

Are you telling me that when you say Slavic you mean Polish but you just can’t bring yourself to say Polish because of your hate for Poland and all that’s Polish? Make it simple and say it like we do (ona Polka, on Żyd.)

Transmission isn't clearly understood, and prevention guidelines aren't available precisely for that reason. Scientists suspect that H. pylori infection may be contagious because the infection seems to run in families and is more common where people live in crowded or unsanitary conditions, so you might as well recommend him not to be so cheap and spending some money on a better class hotel next time he goes abroad, where the sanitary conditions are semi descent and overcrowding not a problem. It’s common sense really. Instead of blaming everyone for everything start using your brain once in a while, but of course in your opinion it's entire world that's out to get poor innocent American tourist simply because he's American. If you get a disease that’s most likely related to the poor personal hygiene, well then it can’t be you that’s dirty it has to be the country you ware visiting. Guess what, millions of other people live in that country and they don’t have your problem, why do you suppose that is? Unlike you perhaps they wash up.

Here comes a wolf in a sheep’s clothing and you defend him Sokrates. I thought a philosopher like yourself would see right through him. He made his intentions known.

Now the expulsions after the war, the way in which they were acheived is probably better dealt in another topic, prece'ed a rewriting of history to reflect these 'regained lands'. Is it not time that the hatred that existed then, on both sides, can be put to rest and some sort of real concilication started.

He’s got an agenda and a goal to achieve. He’s already implying injustices and cruelty of expulsions perpetrated by the Poles on poor innocent Germans conveniently omitting the events that lead to this. All of his pretending to be a peace loving hippy is not fooling me. In two short paragraphs he managed to take the German side no less than seven times, Polish none, laid claim to the land as German and implied injustice but he still wants to pass himself impartial. What I usually tell people like him is to go fly a kite, why you give him a break is beyond me, you just encourage him.

I’ve seen her picture and never accused her of being Greek, as for idiotic phrase well alliances had been forged and broken throughout history what makes you think this one is special or that it will last? It only survives because it’s convenient to everyone at the moment but once the situation changes; who knows can you guarantee status quo? of course not.
