Love / Proposing to my Polish girlfriend [33]

can always have it resized at the jewellers, it's common practice, it won't always fit perfectly. just go there together and they will measure her size, not sure how much it costs but if you choose to insure it then it might be covered for that too.

Love / Proposing to my Polish girlfriend [33]

don't think the price matters as long as it's a nice ring, make sure it's a special romantic moment which she will always remember. the engagement ring from my ex was £300 ;D

Life / How often do you think Poles smile :) [58]

waitress does not smile or have manners.

ahh sounds like home lol but seriously not all people are like that over there, it has a lot to do with their upbringing and environment, wheteher they're happy with their lives or not etc. or maybe the waitress just got PMS ;). either way, there are smiley people in Poland but they must be in the minority i suppose, it's the opposite of that in the UK, but many people here are too fake about it...

I have my culture too :):)

the vulture culture ;)

you sounded quite upset arguing with PlasticPole...

as for the vibes, probably not something i'd like to experience in certain areas.

If they don't want to smile, that's their gig. Let them frown, I can ignore it.

and just a minute ago you seemed all worked up about people not smiling ;)

Some days you just don't feel like smiling i pozytywne wibracje masz głęboko w dupie.

pozytywne wibracje masz głęboko w dupie

sounds a bit wrong that, when you think about it from a gay perspective... ;D

I've just helped you pick up all that shopping you've dropped, maybe you've asked me a question like 'have you got the time please?' what is wrong with expecting a smile and maybe a thank you for my assistance?? is it that much of an effort?? (of course i'm not talking about you/to you personally/only)

i probably would smile but many people don't like to smile. in UK most people will smile but those smiles are not always 'real', so at least when a Polish person smiles at you it's special lol. but seriously, it's a different culture, people are more serious and some are just plain grumpy. if you help people out i'm sure they would give you a smile and a thankyou, unless they're really rude.

Law / Polish emergency passport [12]

you can get a temporary or a short term passport in Poland relatively fast, so surely you can get one from the embassy in UK. what about an ID card, that might be quicker to arrange than a passport and it's just as good. doesn't your friend actually have a Polish id card? that really sucks. the whole idea of a Polish person needing a VISA to go to Poland is ridiculous!

News / How do people react when you tell them you are Polish? [71]

Ja się wcale nie chwalę ja po prostu mam talent. ;-)
I'm already trembling in anticipation of what the response might be.

don't tremble, może i mam talent ;)

I usually get the same response so that's why

that should be interesting then :P

I know, but I don't care, because I wanted to..

i'm almost flattered lol

News / How do people react when you tell them you are Polish? [71]

That's probably because they don't have the balls to tell you that you are

i've been told i'm quite intimidating, i make some people very nervous ha ha...

I didn't say anything though

didn't have to ;)

Never had any of the negative reactions that I see so often on this forum.

nah all the prejudiced scum that comes to vent on here probably don't manifest their hatred in any other way other than writing crap on the internet

How do people react when you tell them your Polish ?

usually say oh yeah there's a Polish person at work and they're really nice. or something about all Polish girls being fit ha ha. i never had a negative response, despite all the trolls coming to this forum i believe most people in UK don't have a problem with Poles.

Life / WHY POLISH PEOPLE DON'T USE THEIR NATIVE FIRST NAME WHEN ABROAD? [136]

What do Poles think of their names being changed when they come to Ireland or another country?

i mostly get called Justina by everyone who knows me here in England. i don't really mind and i'm very used to it now. i don't like it when they try to pronounce my name in Polish if you ask me, call me horrible i just don't like it when they say 'yousteeeeeeeena'. same with writing it down, they can only remember there was a y in there somewhere so on any invites or letters i get called Justinya. i make everyone's life easier by sticking to the English spelling.

Love / He keeps adding females friends to his profile .... [41]

I don't think this is bad enough to get dumped over it but it is suspicious! Don't think it's as bad as having your old flames on facebook and checking them out and messaging them though! If there's no trust at the beginning of a relationship then it's not really gonna get better along the way is it. If you can't trust him now then it's doomed. And if he insists on collecting pretty half naked 'friends' then so be it, that's the only 'action' he'll be getting, stalking their photo galleries. Add a few hunky oiled up guys and see if he even CARES. I bet he won't.

Love / He keeps adding females friends to his profile .... [41]

he keeps adding females friends to his profile on well known social network ....most funny part is -he is looking for them among friends of my friends ....last female was only with bra on her profile picture ....

lalka find yourself a real man, not some niedorobiony frajer ok and stop posting about your failed relationships, it's really sad....

maybe nakedness makes her feel more creative...

she wants to write a second part of kamasutra? ;D

Love / Polish Girls Reputation [231]

It would seem there are two views of Polish women:

a) They make fantastic wives and excel in the kitchen and at home making and make wonderful mothers.

b) They are lying, cheating wh*res with no morals.

exactly, people should make up their mind and stop judging all Polish women based on one or two PL females they met or heard about. what's the point in making sweeping statements like that, everyone is different.

Love / Polish Girls Reputation [231]

lol "forgiven" hey its good enough from a bang and leave perspective but not someone i want raising my kids perspective...

i would never get married to an ex eastern bloc race which lost all its morals while it was communist (poles were victims i agree but i dont want that commie mindset affecting my kids)

you really are stupid for saying crap like that. i was born in 1985 i don't remember communism, it had no effect on me and the way i am, my parents or in fact any people i know do not act like some post communism victims what the hell are you talking about? some women choose to use idiots like i am guessing yourself hence all the bitterness, and maybe a few of your friends, but that has obsolutely nothing to do with communism, they're just b*tches and you should stay away. i don't know where you hang out but you seem to be attracting this sort of girls. once again, what a load of sh*t.

Life / Are Slavs the best dancers in the world? [27]

Did you notice in that first video the younger couples danced quite well?

yeah they do dance well. i've never been that good, they treat it ever so seriously in Poland as well and if you can't do it then at a party you will sit in the corner all night ha ha. i actually got better now so i gotta go to a Polish wedding soon for an ultimate test lol. i still feel more comfortable dancing in a group with friends or with just one friend (or by myself when i had a few drinks ;D) than in pairs. oh dancing to R&B and techno is definitely my speciality though ha ha. more relaxing and fun (IMHO).
