Law / Got my Polish residency [22]

Ah, I feel at home already. Luckily I doubt I'll need them quite as much.

I said no. Luckily they didn't look into my connections with the SS/Satanism syndicate.

Seriously, it was a pretty pointless meeting.

"Are you a criminal"?

"No"

"Very well, here are your papers"

I'm not really too sure. I just showed up for the meetings, nodded and smiled.

First went to the local police station where they asked me if I was a criminal, then got a piece of paper saying I legally lived in this apartment. Then provided all the proof D.U.W. needed, like I had money and insurance, etc. Answered a few questions to prove its not a sham marriage and next thing I know they tell me I'm good to go.

I'd tell your friend to check with his fiancee. Mine did most of the leg work.

News / Should rape carry a life sentence in Poland? [146]

Some even have fun !

Now for all you kids who say "kill for rape" what if its a 16 years old getting drunk ? What if a man does it in a drunken desperate stupor to his ex wife ?

Of course every instance should be looked at individually.

Its also easy to talk about who would do what in a hypothetical situation. I don't see anyone trying to be a hardass so what's the point of "none of you would do this or that"? They're on here are simply stating their opinion on what they think the appropriate actions would be when dealing with rapists.

Personally, my reasons for supporting the death penalty for rapists is not an emotionally based one. First of all, I don't think a rapist (or some other types of criminals) should be free to roam. Second, I don't think the taxpayer should foot the bill to house them indefinitely. I would be open to forced labor I suppose, but how realistic is that?

Three months. But I was prepared with provable income, a place to live, health insurance and all that. Two trips to the D.U.W. and a couple mailings back and forth and I was done. I didn't even really know what was going on most of the time, just went through the motions. Easy.

Perhaps you're being intentionally facetious and it has escaped me.

i missed that. No dear fellow none was intended, why do you ask?

Because you talk about the supposed sick fantasies of people who advocate capital punishment then seem to relish in the thought of pushing someone off a cliff. Seems a tad off to me, that why I wanted to make sure I was clear on you meant. Text often makes it hard to understand what one means so I wasn't sure.

while the topic of capital punishment is being thrown around i have to say i'm more than a little appauled at the sick fantasies people are throwing around here.

o what do we do then? You have them march up a closed of section of cliff aaaaalllll the way to the top, then they either jump or are made to jump and let gravity do its' work. No muss, no fuss, then get back to workin on society.
I know, i know, i even frighten myself sometimes.

Perhaps you're being intentionally facetious and it has escaped me.

Why should the taxpayer pay for three hots and a cot for some rapist, for the rest of his life? If death is not an option, at least make them do forced labor to pay for their own incarceration.

Mask, anyone who thinks that rape is "not that bad" is sick.

Law / Got my Polish residency [22]

ok then...

There I was, minding my own business back in the states. Two friends of mine (a married couple, she's Polish) decided they had had enough and moved back to PL. Feeling the call back to the Motherland (Europe) I went to visit them. I fell deeply in love (with Poland and my friend's sister). I returned to the states and a crappy job, determined to return to Poland to live out the rest of my days (I'm 30) with my love. I started freelancing and quit the crappy job (not in that order) so that I could have a job where I could work from anywhere. About 4-5 months after I returned from my first trip I gathered up what I had saved since I had gotten back to the states (spent all my money on the trip), said goodbye to my folks and caught a plane to Wrocław. Thats about it.

Do I need help?

No, I'm actually not that bad.

What's the background to this story, if I may ask?

What, my story? What landed me in this country?

Love / I'm a turkish guy who thinks that polish girls are slutty [113]

well, your women dont care about turkish men have perfect english or not. they are interested about their dicks.

Only on a scientific basis (how can something that small have such a strong odor of cheese?)

ok, it was fun. I'll leave you to your version of reality where Turks excel in sexual prowess and European girls want to be their property.

Like I said, she isn't into swarthy, swaggering, Turks with their Borat english, inferiority complexes and skewed logic. I would say come to Lower Silesia and say that nonsense to my face but you wouldn't be allowed into my neighborhood.

Life / AMERICAN-STYLE SLOB CHIC IN POLAND? [24]

Is the term "niekulturalny" still used in Poland to describe such underclass behaviour?

It wasn't already?
