Love / My polish girlfriend will not leave [47]

If u have worked hard to get a place

But he never said he owned the place and his profile says he's a student, so it's not very likely he does own it.

UK, Ireland / UK recession on the way? [58]

How come the banks can screw Joe Public but when they get a rough time the FSA jumps in ?

Exactly! The director of the Royal Bank of Scotland was paid 2.5 million last year, yet it's the tax payer who are now bailing them out

You're the one who wants out of the relationship, so why don't you pack your bags?
You think it's reasonable to change the locks and have her out on the street, because you no longer love her? sounds like you're both nuts.

Love / I like this Polish girl, but she doesn't get my... English sense of humor [124]

Hi, I'm British

humor?

Why is a British person using American spelling.....I smell a troll

Hueg:

I think it's probably about the same as British is to American. Other than that I can't spell it out for you. :)

not the same. poles are pretty serious people in general. i still get that kind of reaction from those not familiar with me. szarlotka's 'formal' is a big part of it.

Hueg was making the same point as me, but being Hueg he was cryptic in making his point. Humor is American, Humour is British

err it's nasza-klasa, a polish social networking website.

not sure about that one, but I know you can mark the PMs as unread on the forum. He'll just have to figure it out for himself

what's wrong with you guys and checking people's messages ... geez? lol

I gave him the opportunity to be honest with me, but when I questioned him he lied, so I had to find out for myself......I'm also very good at steaming open letters

UK, Ireland / The Orange Order vs Poles...again [37]

in a nutshell the orange order(also called Unionists) are a a group of people in the north who remain loyal to the queen and the ideals of william of orange

These people are desended from Scots presbytarians, that's why they have Scottish names, the Orange order is also present in parts of Scotland....If Scotland does gain it's independence, I'd like to see who they choose to be loyal to then, I doubt anyone wants them.

A few UDA members are living in exile in Scotland.
