i was just wondering ladies!! (please guys no vulgarities or grammatical exercise)
"generally" does a polish lady expect the guy to make "the first" move???
im slightly confused!
we have barely kissed!! but i have received messages such as "i send my love to you"
so 2 questions (to this confusing (for me) thread)
1: is she expecting me to "be the man" (i hate these expressions im using im just trying to make it simple in explanation) and "make the first move" (do polish guys do this in old fashioned "gentleman" sense of the meaning?)
2: was her message a literal translation of something in polish?? (for example Italians have "ti voglio bene" ( i want you well)
any ideas?

please stick to topic though guys!! and no macho "give it to her with ice cream" or "salp her with a fish" etc etc as i have seen posted around!!

recently discovered "stosunek" which i used meaning "ratio" but it also has another meaning!! ;-)

erm where do i start?
i walked her home the other day and she invited me in for tea!! we then talked to the early hours of the morning!
she lives with her parents still!! althoguh i know this is normal in poland!! i left home when i was 17 so for me its a bit strange!
shes a year older than i am!!!
we've been out for a walk! and this weekend is a "dinner thing"
not quite sure what gossip you re after ;-)
Tell us a bit about her and what your intentions are towards her, so as we can better understand the situation and be able to give you better advice while getting some gossip ;)

yeah but its really indonesian nasi and bami...dont get me wrong i love it all but i was after traditional stuff!!!
some would argue that cooking a curry is english!! but not rrreeeeaaaaaallllllyyyyyy is it!!

i type and speak like i eat!!! (probably not translatable in english but there is a latin phrase that's used!)
yeah we are in a private lingo school!! shes a year older than me!

so would one prefer that i spoke our majesty's the queen grammatically correct perfect english when one has a limit of only 100 characters!
I was just asking some advise! why do internet discussions always turn into proficiency debates!!????
blow me down and shoot me for not being grammatically correct on an internet thread!!!
if you look at my profile again you will notice i was not making a sentence but rather a list!!! 1 a little (implying not that much), 2. i am learning!! come on have you really got nothng better to do!!??? (shoot me down oh look a typo<<<)
as for being male?? last time i looked i was scientifically speaking a male!! not that i go to the gym or eat testosterone burgers. But for the most part i am indeed what is commonly known as part of the male population!!
so i refer you all to my original post!!!

and yeah you are right!! but like i said before!! sometimes im not sure about the "foregin friend thing"
and also you know what foreign girls (and boys) are like!! they are lot more comfortable and touching someone on the knee doesnt always mean they wanna jump into bed with you!!

yes we went out but there were other people! like i said! how do you know if it's a case of "foreign friend syndrome" i have lived in many countries and a lot of the time there can be a tendency for the natives to "want to have a foreign friend" not saying all the time!

So...I am an English man in Poland since about 1 month! I am a teacher here! I love languages and am already learning a little Polish!
I've met a girl (one of my students actually) she is really nice! How do I know if she is "interested" or is only friends because "i am englsih" (everybody wants a foreign friend syndrome)
Is there a Polish "etiquette" I should follow? Do I need to ask her fathers permission before I ask her out ;-) ^_^
