Love / I can't trust Polish women any longer - where to meet a foreign girl? [123]

Trismegistos,

I am sorry you are having a rough time. Initially, I assumed you were too picky and have high standards which was no match for a lady. That or you take yourself way too seriously.I was only in a relationship almost 4 years ago (I was 21.) I'm now 25.I didn't date in middle school, highschool and earlier on in college. It didn't work out but I'm sure it's for the best. I'm Filipina (from The Philippines) and he is Mexican-American.

You can try E-Harmony (but there is a fee) or Cebuanas.com

cebuanas.com

(Although it is a Filipina site but Filipinas living in different countries probably use this site, not just those from The Philippines). Membership is free. You can also upgrade to the paid membership plans.

I hope I was able to help even if it's a little bit.

Love / Polish men and Filipino women [73]

If a Pole took interest in me, I would give him a chance. Not necesarily of the nationality, race but more of personality. I'm Filipina. My family (mother's side, happens to come from Central Luzon and father's side from Visayas region).

USA, Canada / Polish Restaurants and Markets in Los Angeles? [13]

Really? I guess, it is too late. What a pity.Did they relocate or shut down? I only know of 2 Polish restaurants, Polka in Eagle Rock and Warszawa in Santa Monica. I have tried to convince my friends to go with me but no one seems to be interested or they are too busy.

I am interested in different types of ethnic cuisine but not many of my friends are or they don't know much about this. Usually, what happens is I venture out on my own.

USA, Canada / Polish Restaurants and Markets in Los Angeles? [13]

I'm looking for leads on Polish restaurants, markets, businesses, and culture in Los Angeles. Anyone??

I read an article about a restaurant in Orange County (the only one in the area)

There's also the annual film festival. There was one a few months ago.

USA, Canada / The best way to get your girlfriend from Poland to USA legal? [19]

student visa to study at a community college (there are short certificate courses and Associate Degrees and transfer programs, or non credit class and ESL programs). fees are expensive for an international student but it's still cheaper compared to a 4 year university.through marriage if you are an american citizen. process takes 3 years after the marriage for her to obtain american citizenship (if you go this route).also, you have to stay married. with the recession and after 9/11 it is not a popular route as it used to be. also, company visa swtich to local staff (if working for a company that has a branch in the US).
