Yes i would agree with you that the word n*gg*r is racist because it can be said to any black person and doesn't refer to anything other than their skin colour.

If it wasn't for all the racial hatred that was directed towards pakistanis when they first came all those years ago then i doubt the word paki would be deemed racist or derogative.

The P word was used in a nasty and racist way back in the day, so now it is seen as an offensive word with racial connotations.

Yes that is why, still i thinks its absolutely stupid to have classed the word paki as racist unless it was accompanied by abusive or foul language because it doesn't relate to colour or race, just nationality. A complete over reaction in an effort to please a group of people that at the time were not welcome or wanted in Britain, saying that with the current uproar over immigration isn't it just a little bit of history repeated?.

On that note would you let someone into your house that the rest of your family didn't like because i sure as hell wouldn't.

Well iam not being responsible for the actions of someone before me otherwise i would be hating every country in the world for the actions of their ancestors.

Therefore I don't see why anyone would still want to be using it, let alone call the corner shop "The Paki Shop".

Well you wouldn't Mister H because in my view you are ever so politically correct on these issues, as it was said before no hate was meant.

Id say its quite offensive, since most corner shops are actually owned by Indians :D

I was reading a newspaper in a bar in Poland in February of 2004, the the artical was a quote by the then foriegn minister, David Blunkett, who stated that around 11-13,000 people from Eastern Europe were expected to travel to the UK to look for work.

They knew full well how many would come but it was all part of the secret policy of flooding britain with immigrants. And before you go calling me some whacko it was a labour politician that blew the whistle on his party over their secret immigration policy.

Lets be honest here no one likes any politician but people will always vote for who they think will represent them the best.

But there are one or two suspicious posters who only post on matters of UK immigration.

Because they don't hear it.

If you had grown up in a country where you often saw "Brits go home" painted in 10 foot high letters around the place, wouldn't you feel a little bit sensitive about the use of the word "Brit" ?

No I would respect what the real people of that country wanted and go home.

Such idiots are really irresponsible and should not waste peoples' time. Spurious applications should be kicked to the kerb/curb. I can negotiate contracts in Polish with no previous school learning but some of these clowns can't with years of English behind them. Pathetic, feckin pathetic!!

Maybe someone gave her the wrong idea about England, funny to hear though.

And the BNP councillors all half-a-dozen of them have a deplorable record of incompetence and idleness.

In that case it is their responsibility to make things understandable for her.

Lets go back to the part where she decided to leave for the UK, having no desire to learn any english (trust me when i tell you i have met a few that are the same) is her fault and not anyone else's. Nobody will change to accommodate you because it doesn't work like that, not even in poland.

I agree. It fucks it up for people who are really exploited, like the binmen in Leeds who had their wages reduced from 18000 a year to between 11000 and 15000, and had to go on strike to make sure they could feed their families.

I don't want to drag this down to yet another debate on immigration but many problems like the bin strikes do spur from it. All the companies are taking advantage of the excess of labour to force people into accepting lower standards and pay, in essence it gives them more leverage because you have to like it or lump it because they can always get someone to fill your shoes.

When the recession hit and the exchange rate was poor, Polish workers left to return to Poland.

An increase in Polish workers indicates that the economy is recovering.
They work, get paid, pay tax, spend their money etc etc

In my area unemployment is at 2.5% - 1,6%.
There is a problem with recruitment and retention due to the rural demographics.

The picture may be different in London town and the like.

I dont see how that is a boost for the economy.

Yes poles work other people, many of which are sitting at home at the moment costing the country millions because there isn't enough jobs out there.

The unemployment in my area is near 8% so there is no need for anymore workers which is similiar to many big cities.

We poles fit in very well,we love your food,your country,we get on with english people(with most of them),our culture is very much like english.

Yes we do criticize africans and asians its just that we wouldn't go around telling immigrants about other immigrants because that wouldn't be to clever would it.

You aslo answered part of your question, you said you get on with most english people.
Theres a difference between getting on with someone and being friends with someone.

Ive been claiming for years that crime rates in Poland have dropped since 2004 as most of the scammers and criminals high tailed it the land of opportunity that was England, its a criminals heaven over there.

I think thats actually been proven.

Polish people are invited by english employers all the time....why....becouse there is lots of jobs that british people will not do!!!!!!!

Pack it in with the BS one liner, the only reason why poles are here is because they are cheap labour, how else do you think companies have been posting record profits over the last 5-6 years. Tell me something if your so sure of it, why does my line of work pay 40% less than 5-6 years ago?.
