UK, Ireland / The Welsh Language [14]

Yeah, I would like to know what kind of lnguage is Welsh? Is it Germanic? Pictish? Gaelic?

It's like nothing I've ever heard (maybe it was just because the guy was singing the anthem) :)

News / Abortion - how is the Polish government going to deal with this issue? [273]

most people would be outraged if we would start performing abortions on cats and dogs.

Why would you get a cat or dog an abortion, if it would be a lot cheaper to just get them spade/newdered ( spelling is probably wrong, not everyday words for me :) )

UK, Ireland / Help needed - Calling all Polish persons living/working in London [60]

illegal Mexican immigrants

Most of the immigrants that come to America aren't even Mexican. They are from further down south. Mexico isn't that bad of a place to live. Why do you think Mexico City is largest capital in the world. (20 million people live there)

:)

Life / Polish denial of reality - is it a national trade? [117]

Poland has a beautiful culture and family cohesiveness. Here in American, we try to keep the Polish tradition going. We have Polish dance groups, have a Polish Easter buffet(Swiecone), have a great Polish Fest and numerous Chopin competitions and concerts.

Do you live in NY??? Lots of Polish culture there :)

It makes me proud that the Polish calvary defended the country on horseback. This is bravery and you should be proud

They weaved through the tanks throwing grenades down the barrels, then they fired at the infantry with handguns or rifles. Sometimes they ignored the tanks completely.

The thing is, 9 out of 10 times they won the fight. Without infantry support the tanks were easily picked off. We never charged tanks with swords and spears, for anyone who believes the old Nazi propaganda :)

Actually the only reason people get hung over is because your human body doesn't naturally accept Alcohol. So when its flaoting around in your body it will try to get rid of it. Thats why you gotta pee a lot. You will also sweat and everything. So when you wake up you feel like crap becuase all the liquid in your body has been seeped up. So drink a few glasses of water after your beers and go to bed. You'll wake up fine.

Umm.....this was a serious answer guys. Drinking plenty of fluids (mainly water) will get rid of hangover. The only thing a hangover is, is the lack of water in your system that makes you feel sick and like crap :)

Life / Question regarding Polish women vs Jobs abroad [110]

this was something that happened like years and years ago, but now to be a laborer
is not a bad job and is also as good paying as a job which requires a college degree.

Union job. The Union has the power now :)

Life / Question regarding Polish women vs Jobs abroad [110]

i am interested why us Poles cannot break away from the "labourer" mind set.

We're just good at it. I'd rather be good at making the product than selling it :)
