Love / I can't trust Polish women any longer - where to meet a foreign girl? [123]

Hmmm arent you the one thats allegedly been with over 100 Polish girls but you complain that none of them want to sleep with you ?

You also claim to be a 'psychologist' yet come to an online forum with queries about Polish women a thirteen yr old teenager would ask.

As luck would have it, I have studied a wee bit of 'Psychology' in my day, and I would bet all the sheep cheese in Krakow you dont know the first thing about Psychology. That and Im pretty sure you have more than one username here havent you petal ;)

That said, its fun to feed into your cyber ego. I admit you are entertaining and its amusing to observe how others take you seriously :)

Love / I can't trust Polish women any longer - where to meet a foreign girl? [123]

just to show to the world how extremely pathetic and low IQ you are blueenigma... you are the only one who believes that i am trismogietos... :)))

......and that you are not a 'Psychologist' :) I doubt you are the benchmark of my intellect or measure of my knoweldge, but then again a 'Psychologist' wouldnt attempt to measure ones intellect or deem them 'pathetic' on an internet discussion board :)

Enlighten me also as to why a 'Psychologist' would fell the need to come to an internet discussion forum to gain an insight into Polish females, and as to why no female will sleep with him ? :)))

So, tell me more about your career as a Psychologist in Poland ? :)))

UK, Ireland / What is in Poland that England doesn't have? [142]

Wildrover - thank you for your observations. It's so nice to hear something positive about Poland from a foreigner.

If you look at most of the posts here about Poland from foreigners, they are positive

Love / Should I Be Nervous About Going to Poland? Black female dating a Pole. [158]

Ma Polish boyfriend's grandparents and brother r visiting from Poland. !

I have many black friends and they hate those who stereotype them by writing / speaking as you do, pretending to be some ridiculous gangster from the ghetto. I don't mean to harsh, but how difficult is it to write in correct English? It's perceived as embarrassing to your country and black people in general also. You come from a beautiful continent, with a wonderful culture and people, stop with the American ghetto silliness or I suspect you will not receive the respect you deserve here and elsewhere.

Its just that when I type
on the net or chat, I abbreviate my words just like everyone else.
I'm a very well educated person thank u

Who else do you see on this forum abbreviating words? Why dumb down and give the impression that you are stupid and uneducated?

McCoy, dude I am black! AND HELLA PROUD TOO!

Sorry, but what a ridiculous thing to say. I'm white, but why would I be proud of being white, it's my skin colour. If in the Polish summer I get a tan, should I shout IM TANNED AND PROUD. If I wrote IM WHITE AND IM PROUD people would mock me or most likely label me as some sort of white supremist. I'm Irish and I'm certainly very proud of my nationality and culture, IM IRISH AND PROUD....but my skin colour?

One would have to assume that if you look down on black pride you also look down on Polish pride

There is a distinction between pride in ones skin colour, or at least saying it to be 'cool' and pride in ones culture, place of origin, traditions etc. Any African friends of mine tend to be of the 'I'm African, and proud' mindset. Why did she even bother saying anything at all and bringing pride into it? By bringing attention to her skin colour she also manages to separate and distinguish it from those of other skin colour, why bother? I'm sure there is more than enough of this nonsense already in the world without cultivating it further. I've had this same discussion so many times with my black friends in the past. They all agree that those who persist with this ghetto talk, and bring this sense of amour - propre with regards to their skin colour is a negative stereotype attributed towards them. Its also understandably considered a degrading image of their true culture cultivated by American Pop culture.

So now I'm really concerned about wut pplz reactions in Poland will
be towards me wen I go there. Should I be?

As for your original concern. . I have heard that Poland is a racist country, but then again so is Ireland. Any country that traditionally has not experienced other cultures alongside them will be suspicious of 'outsiders' That said, I personally haven't met any racist people in Poland, and I'm pretty sure all of my Polish friends wouldn't care less what colour your skin is, or where you are from. I think perhaps you may get a cold / derogatory reaction from the older generation . . . but so do I in my girlfriends village because I'm Irish lol They look at me as if my skin colour is red with with polka dots :)) Generally from what I can gather, Polish people are a pretty cool lot so you will by in large be fine. Anyway, if you love your boyfriend, he loves you . . . ignore any small minded types ;)

I wish you luck and happiness in Poland, I hope you will find it as accommodating as I have.

Love / Should I Be Nervous About Going to Poland? Black female dating a Pole. [158]

I'm tired of people going on about that post. If I could edit it I would but there's
nothing I can do about it at this point.

I think you will find that I did offer an answer of sorts to your original question.

I wish you luck and happiness in Poland, I hope you will find it as accommodating as I have.

To summarise what most people are writing here, it wont be more of an issue in Poland than it is anywhere else in the world. Some people are small minded, particularly the older generation, most arent.

So No, you shouldnt be nervous of going to Poland, or anywhere.

The End

News / Are there any active Mafias in Poland? [27]

My gf has pointed out some Mafia types in Krakow. Seemingly they control all the begging rackets in the city, the guys who pretend to be handicapped etc. Although I havent heard of many Polish mafia drive-by shootings or gang warfare . . . unlike in Ireland

News / Abortion - how is the Polish government going to deal with this issue? [273]

Poland naively embrases the EU wholeheartedly. Thus not realising that the EU have already put in motion plans to introduce abortion in all the EU states without referendum. You want the EU and your imagined cash cow ? Well you must also accept not having the right to decide your own laws or having anything that resembles true democracy.

Regardless of if you are pro-abortion or not, abortion will be legalised in every EU member state within a decade

News / Abortion - how is the Polish government going to deal with this issue? [273]

This is what saddens me. The EU is a bureaucratic leech that will suck the lifeblood of every people that show even one shred of respecting it or desiring to have its acceptance. Any nation in Europe has an opportunity right now to gain respect and strength....by thumbing their nose at the EU. But they must do so with conviction. Unflinchingly. The EU gives momentary pleasure for a lifetime of pain.

Well said except the only momentary pleasure Ireland and other member states has got from Europe is travel without visas.

The problem is no country can 'thumb its nose' its not accepted. Ireland has a particularly strong constitution and has the right to vote in referendums in it. Thus why we were the only country in the EU to get the opportunity to vote on The Lisbon Treaty and in effect be the voice of Europe. We voted NO, but of course the EU being the undemocratic parasite refused our NO and will put it to us again in a second referendum. For your sake and the sake of your children you better hope we vote NO again, and again, and again. There is a myth conditioned into people throughout their lives that the EU is some sort of golden cash cow and we all need to get on the boat. Ireland was one of the first into the EU and we have been in recession for 25 yrs of our 35 yrs in it. When we finally did have a brief economic boom because of low corporation taxes, the EU did everything in their power to stop us. The paltry E40 billion we have received over the years primarily went on roads and to agriculture (less than 8% of the population) We signed away E400 billion of our fishing waters, had to open our gates for mass immgration, 80% of our laws are now implemented by Brussels and democracy is dead and buried. The EU will legalise abortion, same sex marriages, euthanasia in all member states without asking you ! Your grandchildren will learn Polish as a minority language and they will be European, not Polish . . .your proud and beautiful poland will be demoted to just another state, your constitution will be gone and they have already agreed to have a European president you cant vote for and 'God' will not be in the European constitution. The negatives outweigh the positives, this Poland and others so naively embrasing the EU will learn to their detriment. Abortion laws will be the least of your worries as you prostitute yourselves to the EU.

Life / DO ORDINARY POLES DRINK ALCOHOL BEFORE NOON? [25]

The vast majority of people don’t drink before noon (not practical even) in any country I’ve ever been to, although alcoholics will drink alcohol before noon anywhere.

The thing about not sitting on cement is prevalent in Ireland and most countries, as is the thing about not entering water after eating. Most of these aren’t so much superstitions, but practical observations with a hint of exaggeration to reinforce them.

Love / Depression and Polish Men [30]

My family and some friends told me that polish men get really depressed, especially about "love"

I dont think its just polish men, but all SLAVIC men. but why? because slavic people have so much and great "soul"?

I very much doubt Polish or Slavic men get more emotional or depressed in matters of the heart than men anywhere in the world ;) I certainly dont think that any one nation has any more 'soul' than another :))))

I do however suspect that countries such as Ireland and Poland who share high alcohol consumption levels have higher levels of depression. Most of which I suspect is hidden or born from the bottom of a glass of beer or vodka.

Life / DO ORDINARY POLES DRINK ALCOHOL BEFORE NOON? [25]

The guys were not your typical alchoholic , they were working men , on their way to work....I don,t say this never happens in britain , but i didn,t see it before coming to Poland....

What I do see a lot of in Poland, well at least in the villages there, are people who routinely pop into supermarkets for a beer or two to drink in the middle of the day. Usually construction workers etc, and its not frowned upon in any way. That is very different than Ireland and something I havent seen elsewhere either

Life / Question for British Ex-Pats in Krakow [18]

Im in the same boat. Im from Ireland originally, and living in Krakow but havent really met any British or Irish. I spend nearly all the time with my gfs friends and family etc so dont get to socialise in any of the ex-pat hangouts. I suspect you might find a lot of British and Irish at the Irish bar in krakow, but as an Irish person I would never frequent a plastic Irish pub abroad :D

My brother got really depressed cuz his girl broke up with him and now he's depressed, my dad and uncle and some other friends said it was normal to get depressed for a polak.

What do you think men from other countries do, roll around the floor laughing ? How old are you ?

Life / DO ORDINARY POLES DRINK ALCOHOL BEFORE NOON? [25]

Depends where your from. Im sure in fansy Warszawa ... boooooo... people dont drink before noon.

But I was born in a town with 10'000 people and a lot of older men sit on benches at the park and drink zubrówke.

On Easter Sunday, eating the blessed food etc the man of the house brought out a bottle of vodka . . as it is so rude not to accept a drink, I of course got pissed and fell home :)

Love / Depression and Polish Men [30]

Did I say that? Did I ask that? no! I just asked why are polish people so depressed?
but yes in other countries (not eastern europe) men dont care as much.

Polish people arent so depressed, rates of depression in Poland are no more than anywhere else in the world. Sucide rates per head of capita in Poland are not even in the top ten, and are beneath France and Switzerland. How can you say men in other countries dont care so much ? Thats a ridiculous assumption, if a man from anywhere loves a woman and she dies or leaves him of course its dperessing and heart breaking. Individuals are different everywhere, some cope better than others. It certainly hasnt anything to do with someones nationality, human nature is just that....nature. Thus why I asked you how old you are ?

How old are you ?

Love / Depression and Polish Men [30]

You get a Polak or russian that plays the violin and tell him to play some tchaikovsky, than you ask an american or mexican to play the same thing. Both people have the same violin skills. Who will understand the music more, who will give it more soul and play it more beutifully?

Thats the second most ridiculous thing I have read here. You obviously know as much about music as you do people. Havent you heard of Paganini (Italy) jean luc ponty (France) Hillary Hahn (American) Regina Carter (American) ?????? I suggest you listen to them play tchaikovsky, bach etc. Your ignorance is irritating me, really irritating me.

'Slavs' dont get more depressed than people form anywhere.

Polish or Russian musicians dont play music with anymore 'soul' or understand what they play anymore than great musicians from other nationalities.

You silly girl

Love / Depression and Polish Men [30]

First of all Im a guy dip****. Second, I played violin since 6 years old. Im in a professional orch. YOUR ignorance is really irritating me!!! Im not talking about the best of the best!!! Read what I write!!! I said the SAME SKILLS ON VIOLIN! and the eastern european will play TCHAIKOVSKY better compared to an american. Not paganini, not schubert, not mozart. BUT Rachmaninov, Wienawski, Tchaikovsky, Kabalevsky. etc

Polish or Russian musicians dont play music with anymore 'soul' or understand what they play anymore than great musicians of other nationalities.

What part of the above dont you understand ?

Eastern europeans will NOT play "Rachmaninov, Wienawski, Tchaikovsky, Kabalevsky" on the violin better than anyone with similar skill from elsewhere. Now I suggest you travel, open your ignorant little mind, study depression and what causes it, study psychology, advise your family members who suffer from depression to seek therapy and go away to play with dolls or whatever keeps you from self harm.

My family and some friends told me that polish men get really depressed, especially about "love" I dont think its just polish men, but all SLAVIC men. but why? because slavic people have so much and great "soul"?

People think your stupid. If you are under 18 and wrote that ok, its understandable. if you are older, I feel only pity for you.

You silly girl :)
