I have to agree with the above statement, saw a scouse stag trip in Warsaw when I was over with the gf, they were abusing the bar staff and peope walking by, I tried to warn them about the doorstaff in Poland and they took no notice, then when it went haywire I sat back and enjoyed the show.

Was speaking to the owner and apolgising on there behalf and ended up getting a free night as I was the first Brit he had ever heard speak polish ;-)

Hello mate, if you are looking to improve your english and meet people then you could do a lot worse than get a job in a bar to begin with. It will help you to speak the language and you'll get the chance to meet many wonderful characters and more than likely meet new friends,

Other than that be careful not to surround yourself with only polish friends and i'm sure you'll get along fine.
I will probably take my own advice soon when i make the opposite move to poland ;)

As someone toying with the idea of moving out to poland, what qualifications are required to enable you teach english? I feel at a disability due to my local dialect in the north of scotland so maybe learnin english first might help,;) but in seriousness can anyone tell me where i can learn polish!
