Life / muslim community in poland [430]
I live in Germany among other 2 Million Poles, or Poles with German roots here. I live in a near million inhabitants city and we only have 2 (two) Polish shops here. Polish newspapers are not seen everywhere, but turkish and russians are. Sure you can listen some talking polish, but its a "Hey, so they are polish, never would have thaught that"-feeling and not the "there's a muslim with his wife I could tell them from a mile away"-feeling. We are able and willign to assimilate in other european counties, you just need to give us some time - and why are we able to do so? Cos our culture has relatively much in common with our hosts one.
And yes, we will never get rid of bigos and kielbasa, but hey, seldom heared someone complaining about the food I served to my German friends.
