I have heard in the national press that Polish are very homophobic.

A lot of comments on this forum seem to verify this but I guess not all that post here feel the same.

My 2 best friends are lesbians and would love a holiday in Poland. Best to know before they book up I guess.

In cases like this, I am all for the death penalty coming back.
I am not sure about hanging but I feel that lethal injection's are acceptable.

I'm not here to play guessing games with you.
This thread is about the smoking ban in Poland.
Not your obscure suggestions about anything else.
The pro smokers will never believe the facts that are there, I'll tell you what I think of them, they are dellusional. You don't have to guess what I think of them, they are foolish. The facts are there and they still poison themselves, now the ban is in place, thank goodness they won't poison me.

PS I deliberatley posted no figures, so no one can give me "their proof" that smoking doesn't kill.

In fact, if your so keen on figures, show me proof that smoking DOESN'T kill and I might just have some respect for you.

point 1, smoking emits loads of poisons into the atmosphere
point 2 I never said smokers don't pay national insurance and I never said they should be discriminated against.
Point 3 I don't live in cloud cuckoo land. Go down any high street in the uk, and you'll see cigarette butts and packets disgarded everywhere you look. You won't find my rubbish, I take it home with me. In fct I have often gone up to someone dropping a cigarette packet and told them that the street isn't their wastebin.

Point 4. Like I did say, I have no issues with smokers, I don't know any and those I do, I try to avoid because they stink usually. Smoke if you want, it doesn't directly affect me now there is a public ban in place here and I love it.

Point 5. Yes I do think smokers choose to die sooner. I don't intake anything with any high toxins deliberately. Smokers do.

Toxic poisons WILL KILL YOU. It's a no brainer.
I won't insult your inteligence by offering you all the NHS and other worldwide anti smoking figures that are out there, because most smokers or ex smokers refuse to believe the figures. I know what I believe, you think what you like.

There are 2 things certain in life, death and taxes.

I pay what taxes I have to and don't wish to die sooner than I have to.

Smokers always use arguements such as taxes to justify their bad habit. Like I said, I don't have issues with smokers, I know none. If you want to kill yourselves, do so, but don't poison me.

If anyone is deluding themselves, it's the smokers who think that it won't kill them.

I am neither stupid NOR a wind up.

I saw my father die from smoking all his life, it made me value my own health, with regard to smoking. It is proven to be a killer, smokers ignore the facts, fair enough, let them kill themselves, but smoke in private at home, don't kill others. I have no issue with smokers, except I don't socialise with any. Do it at home.

The ban in the UK means you can still smoke, and thats great for those that choose to smoke.
As for the driving ban, driving is nothing to do with smoking, start another thread and discuss it properly there if you choose.

Taxes will always be found to fund what is essential.
Smokers are a drain on society, they have more sick days, more breaks per day, cause polution and rubbish and make people ill.

Smoking ban is a public health issue and while smokers continue to poison not only themselves and the environment, but other innocent people too, the public ban is the correct thing to do.

Well thats great for you, py for the NHS and then expect to hog it once you're spewing your guts up on a daily basis as your lungs drown in your own bodily fluids.

My father died like this, he smoked all his life.

I hope smokers have to pay private insurance, you take the risks knowing the facts are that not only is smoking likely to kill you, it passively kills others too.

I am suggesting that smokers aren't very civilised and that they are very selfish.
The fact they wish to poison none smokers like they do themselves, proves this.

It is no longer civilised to poison us none smokers, if you yourself choose to smoke.
Sooner rather than later is preferable to me.

Men are men whatever their colour, some are nice some are not, just like all people.
What suits one person will not suit another.
I dated a black man in the UK from Nottingham for a while, my girlfriends where fine with it, my male freiends found it threatening. Why, I've no idea as none of them wanted to date me.

My friends father thinks that I am unclean after having "been" with a black man, so what. He himself traveled Europe with his job back in the 80's and almost certainly has a few children he knows nothing about, judging by his comments so what he thinks will never affect my life. I have no unknown children anywhere ;)

Its rather like Thai brides, but you hardly ever hear of the reverse, Thai males marrying foreigners.

I'm just an over weight, middle aged lady wanting to make the most or my divorce settlement, wondering if Polish males integrate as often as the Polish ladies seem to.

I guess I really need to investigate further and come for a holiday first, although romance isn't really high on my list of priorities. Finding a home and job and friends is far more important.
