Love / Are all Polish women the same..... [81]

I am not polish but I don't know what I want from life either - really depends what day it is and what personality I happen to be wearing! I don't know if all women are like this or not??

Love / Stalker Friend of my Polish GF? [40]

No certainly not! No one's saying that at all we're all just saying that there is more to the story but whatever that 'more' is won't make it acceptable to spit at someone girl or guy! and it's surprising how little you have to do to make someone believe they somehow own you and have 'rights' over you..

Love / Stalker Friend of my Polish GF? [40]

I had something similar happen to me several years ago, the guy kept ringing me saying abuse things about me to my friends etc but I cut all contact with him not to encourage his attentions. I know that everyone has a different ways of dealing with things but the very fact that she is comfortable enough to reply to his messages says that there is a lot more to this story....

Oh st Petersbourg Russia! It's amazing there absolutely lovely atmosphere. i have some family in Moscow so that's also on my list of places to visit. My friend who I go travelling with always used to say when you'd seen one big city you'd seen them all but the city's we've visited in Eastern Europe have a certain magic to them!

Thanks for the invite Polishgirltx! I may be heading that way sooner rather than later and judging your pics and the videos you posted I have to say it looks great. It may even beat St. Petersbourg as my favorite city to visit!

Love / Don't Polish men fall for British women? [57]

lol you kow what that's what I thought. I don't mean that at all disrespectfully to you Claire, but I'm always suspicious of Polish men or women looking for british lovers. If they just meet someone and are attracted thats a bit different but it seems a bit sinister to just go looking for someone... but then I suppose it's sinister the other way around too 'Umm', (She scratches her head in thought, a rare occurance) XD

Love / Don't Polish men fall for British women? [57]

I must say that the polish men in Wales don't seem so much on the look out for British women as the Polish women do for british men. They seem to mix and date polish women. i can't say this is a definite trend as it's only observational and I don't know the reason for it could be lack of attraction or many other reasons... not sure XD

UK, Ireland / Are the Poles in England hated? [450]

yes Zeus you are right all the Polish people who come here, learn a new langauge sometimes from scratch, adapt to a new culture, work to support their families at home as well as themselves they are all such losers, they certainly earn no respect from me.....

Food / Polish food is making me fat [49]

This thread is making me so hungry. We have an aisle of Polish food at my local supermarket. (Pasta with strawberry sauce hey haven't heard of that one before?!)The only problem is this requires someone to cook it and being a microwave queen to me that's like finding a cure for cancer...

Work / qualification required to join as a teacher in international schools [8]

I have a question can the PGCE be used in schools internationally for example, my cousin is doing her PGCE now, after it is completed can she use this qualification abroad to work? I thought it was only useful in Britian and told her so but now I think I have been mistaken?

Love / Why Polish girls are awesome? [141]

You know what, I have to agree with the guy who started this thread - in part at least. I see alot of polish girls around my town and you can always spot them a mile off and they are usually quite stunning but I'm never sure if that is just because they truely have model features or because they are different. One of my friends is Russian and she too along with all her friends was stunning when she arrived here. However, i must say that after just a few years of living here she is almost unrecognisable now. I don't think that the British way of life agrees with her at all and she seems to be aging at the speed of light. It made me think that here our fast food culture, our tvs etc lead to some of us ( not everyone because some of my british mates are just drop dead gorgeous) looking not at our best, not reaching our full potential.

As for our personalities etc obviously the way someone was brougth up has a role to play and probably there are differences between nations just as there are differences in cultures.

I can honestly say that Polish girls, the ones I see anyway ARE awesome! I don't feel bad or defensive about that because it doesn't mean that my fellow Welsh babes are not, we're just different and to be honest I can't think of anything worse than getting all dressed up in a certain way trying to be super girly to please some guy. I like to please myself and the people that I truly care about as I think that's what life should be about

UK, Ireland / What's So Great About The UK? [416]

I live in Wales and whilst I'm not sure that it is any better than any other place in the world I love it because it's home. I find that loving wales is like supporting a welsh football team... you know it has many faults and will probably never be very successful but you couldn't support anywhere else. But hey there are good and bad things about all countries and all nations and sometimes I find Wales boring dreary and most certainly wet but it's the land of my fathers so,.....

listen Zeus, as I said in my last post I do understand some of what you're saying it would be naive of me to say that everyone in Britian are in love with the polish people being here. I think this will be reflected when the results of the general election are announced. Yes there will be many other reasons why people will vote out a labour government but an increase in immigration will certainly be one of them. This is sad for us because a conservative government will pull us back from all ties with Europe which can only be bad news in the long run for the British economy and in actual fact SOME people here are too stupid to realise that although polish workers seem to be making things bad here in the short run they will strengthen our economy in the long run. So yes Zeus as I said earlier you do make valid points but to say that all British people hate the polish and insult them and view them as little more than slaves or prostitues is RIDICULOUS!!!!!! Just as stupid as if I said that all British people were open minded tolerant and happy for the poles to come and work here. All of the above said I AM someone who thinks like that. Long live the Polish in Britian, they can do nothing but good, a chance for us to experience new cultures, new ideas, new talents and virtues and God forbid a chance for us to do most un-british thing and learn another language.

Love and peace to all my polish friends on here

UK, Ireland / Are the Poles in England hated? [450]

In Wales there is a fairly large Polish community and I have to say that I really like their presence and have lots of admiration for their work ethic etc (I could go on because I really find some of them to be inspirational). I would really like to make friends with the polish community, as would some of my other Welsh friends, but to be honest they tend to keep themselves to themselves. Now although I do think that Zeus is a little crazy (Has he been prescribed anything for it?) I can see his point of view. It's silly for us brits to get on here and say that the whole of our country are in love with the Poles just because we like them or have polish friends etc. That would be disrespectful to the Polish people who do suffer at the hands of our fellow countrymen. I love the Polish and have no problems with them at all but of course I have heard MANY people around me complain that they are steeling their jobs etc etc many are not friendly to them and have no intention of being, and people are turning against our government because they have allowed so much immigration. It may not be how we Brits on this forum feel but it is how lots of others in the country feel lets not be naive/liars about this and tell poor Zeus that he is just delirious (extermely paraniod but not completely gone yet ;))
