Love / How can a black man get a Polish women [248]

Actually, it's much easier to have a Polish girl when You are black. Why? Because it's something exotic for them. POLISH WOMEN LOVE BLACK LOVERS ;)

Check this out:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simon_Moleke_Njie

That's pathetic I know, but see how many women have he infected... After that it will be a bit harder for You (You will find 12 "loving U" girls in 1 day instead of 43 girls in 20 minutes).

The worst thing is the guy above was sleeping with educated women (usually students, always with fluent English).

So don't say "polish woman are normal like every other" because they aren't as You can see - if You are black - You can sleep with hundreds girls/year... ;s

Genealogy / Is my family surname (Reslofsky) Polish? [18]

Type Your surname here and You will see how many people in Poland (and where exactly) have Your surname. The database is about 2-3 years old, but the strange thing is there are no records for Reslowski, Reslowska or Resłowski/Resłowska.

herby.com.pl/herby/indexslo.html

In my opinion this is NOT a Polish surname, especially if there's "f" (ResloFska). IMHO it's probably German. I've found nothing using Polish search engines also. I'm from north-east Poland (old Prussia) and I know nobody who knows any Resołowski/Resołowska.

But maybe... Good luck! :)

Real Estate / Advice on what Polish city to invest in.... [101]

Do not even think about buying a flat in Poland nowadays.

The flats are highly overpriced since it's cheaper to build Your own house instead of a stupid flat, and many, many do! Building credit for first 7 months of 2007 is over 1,000,000,000 PLN (it's 46% more than OVERALL CREDIT from last year, so at least 4x more people will raise a loan in 2007 tan in 2006!).

Actually my mother is working as developer and I know it's much harder to sell a flat, because speculators made the prices really to high and there's no way to find people to buy these flats.

NOBODY wants the flats. You can loan the flat to students (but there's less and less students every year!) and then get cash from them, usually not more than 300-600 zl (in my city max 250 zl while 1 square meter is 6000 zl+) after 100 years or smth like that You will have Your cash back, lol.

OK, let's talk about my city.

1^2 meter flat - 6000 zl (average)
500000 zl / 6000 zl = 83 square meters flat

1^2 km = 100000 zl (depends on place, 100000 in about 20-30 kms to my city)
1^2 meter of house - 2250 zl (average)
(500000 - 100000) / 2250 = almost 180 m^2 HOUSE !!!

See the difference? It's 3x bigger NEW house than the used flat for the same cash!

And NOWADAYS flats in BERLIN are more CHEAPER than in Poland (I'm sure was few months ago). Really, much better is to find something in rich Germany (especially Bavaria wich is the richest area of EU) than in Poland, where You will sell You flats in next 10 years to Russians, because all Young Poles will have houses and the rest will work in UK, Holland, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, France, Germany or the USA.

News / Poland biggest problem [125]

1. Not enough cash.

We are fukin poor. We are doing anything anywhere, for many young people is much better to do anything in the UK instead of hard working in Poland. And they are right.

2. International relations.

Nobody cares about Poland, how if our president doesn't speak English (and his wife does)?
Also - we have no ambassadors in over 20 countries (and I'm not talking about Africa, jungle or Mars, there are no polish ambassadors in Athens, Seul etc. including 2 countries i EU and 2 another from NATO + much much more).

That's why we're involved in stupid wars in Iraq or Afghanistan and getting 10x less from the USA than Turkey for allowing Americans to use their bases and nothing more (and don't forget that the Turkey is a 99% muslim country wich was involved in killing kurdish people).

I'm not even writing about Israel (3,000,000,000 USD yearly for military purposes). Poland with soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan is getting 100x less (3,000,000 USD). So we can buy two good tanks per year or so.

NO I DON'T think this is a good way for making cash, BUT I just wanted to show how ignored we are.

See VISAs to the USA also. Most of people who wanted to move from Poland just moved, but we will still have VISAs.

There's a topic of F16s and the offset also.

etc. etc.

3. xenophobia

See number 2 ;-)))

4. THIS COUNTRY IS JUST BORING.

for example I'm living in city with population of 180,000 and we have ONE swimming pool (older than my grandpa) etc. I think that's because PEOPLE HERE ARE BORING, that's the point, but anyway kids - if want to have fun here - take drugs.

You can buy an exotic car (like Opel Calibra for 700 USD, very popular "sport" car nowaydays, lol) and drag racing, but there are no roads for that, if You drive over 60 mph in city I'm sure You will lose your wheels soon.

You can buy a bike, but here are no bike tracks. Oh, and ask me first where to ride, because there are areas where some people are trying to steal bikes all the time (tried to steal mine about four times, they are "working" about 600 meters from police headquarters).

You can go to pub for non-smokers, but You won't find any.

There are no parks (if are Russians built them when my mother was 6 years old or something) the ONLY entertainment here is shopping, every weekend about 70% of people or even more are not even shopping but walking and watching stuff for sell (You can buy nice shoes for 300-400 PLN, month income of MOST of people here is not more than 1500 PLN, that's why they're just watching).

The rest is watching TV.

Otherwise most of them think Americans are stupid. But we ARE copying American lifestyle not Americans Polish...

And I believe that's better for us. Someone said that we are "losing its own identity". I'm not sure what does that mean? Drinking or what? What makes our identity so special?

Life / Internet providers in poland [11]

vectra.pl - cable company, very limited (just a few cities), not bad prices especially if You want to have their TV and phone (30 USD for 512 kbps ADSL, average cable tv including Disocvery Channel in Polish and a few english channels + free phone, not mobile of course - 43 USD after 9 months).

My advice - go for Chello, if not available then You can always use Neostrada by Telekomunikacja Polska (TP S.A.).

I don't think the price of Neostrada is "extremely expensive", and THERE ARE NO DOWNLOAD LIMITS since 2007.02.01.

There are prices of Neostrada:

tp.pl/prt/pl/klienci_ind/internet/now_prom/603256?_p=603261

Click on links " już od xx zł z VAT" (from xx PLN including tax).

1 year long contract:

1 mbit - 28 USD/month & 1st month 14 USD
2 mbit - 50 USD/month & 1st 25 USD
6 mbit - 57 USD/month & 1st 28,5 USD

Click link above for other options (longer contract = lower prices).

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neostrada

Chello is much cheaper and much faster. 12 mbit chello ADSL is even cheaper than 6 mbit Neostrada.

Google helps:

Results 1 - 10 of about 11,600,000 for "jakby"
Results 1 - 10 of about 657,000 for "jak gdyby"

Life / How many people really know English in Poland? [53]

I guess about 80% or even more of teenagers haves English lessions at schools (at least two times weekly, for at least 3 years to 9/12 years!). At the age of 16 EVERY student have to learn 2 foreign languages, the second one is usually German (but I know schools where You can choose between German and French or Italian or Russian), but the first one is English (usually, sometimes it's German and the English is is the less important foreign langauge, but in most of cases English is the "main" language here).

At the age of 19 everybody have to pass an exam which is similiar to FCE.

About people older than 25 years old... I think most of them don't know English at all, so better try to speak to young and beauty people, just like me.

Sorry for mistakes, website wich helps me with English is now offline ;-p
