Language / What is the most annoying thing about non-native Polish speakers? [90]

What is the most frustrating mistake that non-native Polish speakers frequently make?

Absolutely nothing :) though some of Poles (especialy older ones) might not like if someone would use word Cię (You) instead of Pana/Panią (Mr, Mrs)

Polonia / Polonia in Portugal [5]

Polish people abroad are mostly interested in better off countries and though Portugal seems like a very pleasant place to live (based on a _very_ short stay). The levels of pay and a very hard to understand (spoken) language probably don't make it very attractive to many Poles.

Yep! That's right. The ones are there came mainly because of personal reasons.

Love / Do Polish men shave under their arms ? [45]

Maybe I'm a little bit out of the subject but I just felt it should be said here.
I'm sure most of you've heard that amount of women with a brest cancer is higher and higher every year. The most common is one in area of arm. Recently I've read that it's because of using the antiperspirants. Blocking production of sweat = acumulating toxins under the arms. Especialy dangerous is using the deo on a shaved skin.

I know, men will think it's not about them because they don't have breasts. As a matter of fact cancer in the area of arm is called the same for female and male.

For your own safety don't shave!

Life / Greatest Polish Films [22]

The best polish comedy: "Sami swoi" and for the young generation "Chlopaki nie placza". The one I would propose to non-poles is "Dzien Swira" which in a half funny way talks about the national depresssion.

Life / Why is Poland so slow; it takes a lot of time to arrange anything here [53]

Poland is not so bad. Comparing to the latin countries we are sprinters. Try to buy a pack of cigarettes in a store in Italy. You have to wait 10 minutes for the salesman to finish conversation with his neighbour. Once I was waiting a quarter in a bakery in Paris because the owner was teaching the salesgirl how to pack the breads so they would look well.
