Life / How much is a bag of chips in Poland? [28]

33 grams, (Frito Lays, Paprika flavour), 1.00 złoty.

That's all I wanted :) Jest wszysztko chciał...(does this make sense, I am trying to use Polish as much as I can now).

Language / How Many of you love the Polish Language? [79]

I enjoy studying the language. It somehow is at the top of my love of different languages. However, one thing that I can't yet quite master in pronouncing is when c turns into ci and I have to stop and think about how I'm going to pronounce it. Especially when it's in the same word.

Food / Polish grochówka recipe? [23]

The descriptions don't help me much because I have never actually eaten it or anything close to it. Hopefully I will be able to visit Polska one day and experience the things I read on this forum... at least some of them..

Language / How do you form commands in Polish? [4]

How do you change the verb into a command?

I know some like słuchaj and chodż(sp?) from listening to some people say it to me or others.

But what is the general rule for all commands?

Feedback / Translation Threads - where did most of them go? [23]

Maybe implement an importance sticky thing for posts. Not for every single translation, but a post in which there is an exceptional explanation of a concept, or if there is an very well written article on grammatical topics or Polish linguistics. The stickies won't bump the threads to the top, but just to mark so that it won't be deleted.

Law / About foreign names registration in Poland [4]

What happens when a person comes from a country that doesn't use Christian/Western names, such as from Africa or Japan? How do they spell their names? I heard in Poland, they have some laws on names, but perhaps that is only for the native-born. How do they spell foreign names?

Language / Genitive case ("nie ma nic" vs "nie ma niczego") [71]

Merged: Multiple genitive case question

The son of the father of a large company.
Syn ojca firmy

Hey I was wondering, if you were to translate this sentence, would father and large company both be genitive? And son would be Nominative. But would the son be of the company, or would the father be of the company in this case? I want it to descend in the sense (The son of the (father of the company)). I hope I am understandable.

Can you translate it correctly as well?

Also things like, the brightness of the light of dawn. (how would u translate that)
Dzięki.

Language / Genitive case ("nie ma nic" vs "nie ma niczego") [71]

I was wondering, if in syn ojca firmy, it reads, son of father of company.. but would it be understood as son of father and son of company, or son of father (who is of company). who being the father...

Yes, I feel like I'm digging a hole of confusion lol.
