Not all people are the same coop. You are making generalizations and that makes you pretty much a racist.

SOME Poles are racist. Yes. All Poles are racist. NO.

people can be friendly in the house for dinner but in a
shop or government office it is maddening how unhelpful they can be.

if you ever had to go to a public office here in chicago area you would probably discover a new meaning of the word unhelpful

If you are part of a good family here (ie dating or married to their daughter) then hey will go out of their way to help you, but do not expect any stranger to life a finger.

you can expect the same in any country cooper.
It seems to me like you were born yesterday.....

Things that are commonplace in the West like customer service, warranties, good quality goods...are not commonplace here.

cooper people who have never been out side of poland would probably belive your story but not those who live abroad and experienced exactly the same things in other countries...such as bad customer service, broken things, etc...

Poles are also often very difficult to do business with

with the massive upcharge on imported goods and cheap labor you can make good business here

you need to decide...

I wouldn't say the Polish integrate as well as people from (for example) The Czech Republic or Hungary.

It seems that you know all Polish people in England and all people from the Czech rep and Hungary. So, you announced to the world that the Polish don't integrate as well as Czechs or Hungarians.

Just watch British TV or read English press. You will find out how critical English are of Poland and Polish people. I read a lot of British newspapers and I have not seen a single article for a long time which would talk about Poland in a positive way. When English TV or press talks about Poland or Polish people it is ALMOST ALWAYS in a negative way. I really can't find justification for this kind of propaganda. Poland isn't really as backward as some people in the west would like to see it.

By the way, it's notable that almost every article on BBC's portal talking about polish agriculture must have a picture of "furmanka". Obviously, average English reader will draw worng conclusion from this kind fo propaganda.

however its just a case they come to England becuase its a good economy and thats it.

No. UK and Ireland are among those few countries which opened their work market to the new Europe. So economy is not the ONLY reason.

I am not ashamed of my first name.

Some people decide to change their names for practical reasons. Some names maybe hard to pronounce for the natives. Some people stick with their original names and some people yes change their name because they think it may somehow make them more native.

Yes, I agree. It was obvious.

However we did step up to the plate when need be.

I belive that Americans helped you a bit with that "setting up to the plate".
