Life / Army National Service in Poland [95]

It's probably because it would be too hard to take EVERY man into the army. There are always exceptions in life that can't be avoided.

Sigh of relief- glad to hear that!

Love / Do Polish guys have a different approach to dating than others guys? [50]

Guys in America are sick and corrupt. Some keep notebooks with the names of all the women they've been with. The more they have, the more "proud" they are of themselves.

Totally agreed! Maybe it's related to the overly capitalist lifestyle they lead....you know, the I WANT MORE I WANT MORE I WANT MORE bit. Like a 2 year old in the MINE phase.

I don;t mean they are all like that- just that it seems to be considered the "american way". I also read somewhere that countries who get overly imperialistic/capitalistic tend to have this kind of behavior glorified- not to say everyone engages in it. I know lots of nice american guys.

USA, Canada / Has anybody ever been to Lincoln, NH? [7]

I'm from Rhode Island and I'm applying for a job as a waitress at an assisted living home. I'm going to get a laptop in a few days which will help me with my writing hobby.

USA, Canada / Has anybody ever been to Lincoln, NH? [7]

An assisted living is like a nursing home, only the atmosphere is less medical, and the people usually are more independent- like they have their own cars and stuff.

I like to write history books for kids, but I'm going to try my hand at fiction and see if it sells.

What I originally wanted to do was to be a lawyer. I feel like I owe it to society because of my social conscience

Genealogy / Looking for a Polish manager who worked in Lincoln, NH [8]

Has anyone ever been to Hobo Hills in Lincoln, NH? I remember last year there was a nice Polish (FROM poland!!!) manager guy there, but this year.......he was gone!

I'm not saying I want to marry him or anything, but how will I know if he would make a good match or not if I can't find him.

I just don't want to give up on something that may be good- I hate to lose things......

i don't really know how to look for him, but he seemed so sweet...

I hate to be so annoying

News / Roman Giertych.... a right-wing politician from Poland [90]

I don't think he's very nice, but I do think he's very handsome. A shame a young fiery, intelligent handsome man like him is involved in such filth.

A real shame

he is an anti-gay, neo-fascist demagogue and his party supports violence againt homosexuals
