Life / Cellphone numbers in Poland; how to find the user? [13]

Hello,

I got a phonecall the other day from a cellphone from Poland ,but i cant seem to find out who the number belongs to. Is there a way to get this through the Polish phonerecords or somewhere else?

Ok ,thanks for the answers ,the problem is that someone is calling me with this number 6-7 times a day and hangs up when i answer ,and when i call back no one answers the phone.

[Moved from]: Minigolf in Warsaw

I know i have seen something about minigolf in Warsaw ,i think it was in the Imola centre where they also have gokarts. Anyone been there and can tell me if this minigolf was any good? I'm planning to bring a polish girl there on a date before dinner. Girls just want to have fun right? ;)

Travel / How really cheap is in Poland? [37]

When i went to Poland from Norway i was shocked over how cheap it was there ,i would think you would be pleasantly supprised. Norway is the most expensive country in europe possibly most expensive in the world.

I have a job that has me working for 3 week ,then i have 3 weeks off. I'm thinking about buying an apartment in Poland and live there in my 3 weeks off ,and then rent the place out when i'm not there.

I have been to that terminal a couple of times ,i dont think its to bad. It's small and there is no shops or cafes ,but there is just a 10 minute walk to the other terminal that has all this things. The terminal is not bad at all.

I offer my condolanses to they're family and friends.

Now i am an agnostic, and accidents like this really feeds my belief that there is no higher being. Why would "God" punish pilgrims that is true to him and follows him?

Guess praying did not help.

Title of topic is not misleading. I asked for the difference between prosze and poprosze in the title and added in the topic "As the topic says.". Then i go on to say "Also i'd like to ask:Is Słucham short for co słuchac?" The "Also" implies the start of another question. :)

It's like this sometimes in Norway to. People from the cities look down on the people from outside of cities ,and vise versa. It does happen most often among young people.

I understand it's about faith ,but that does not make it real.
Sick people have been healed by placebo medicine too. That is also about faith.
It's the same with people who believe in ghosts ,they see ghosts ,never people who dont belive in them. :)

Language / To sa truskawki , To jest chleb. Difference between the two? [22]

The question in my polish book is: Co to jest sa jedzenie?

And for Truskawki the answer is : To sa truskawki.

The answer for Chelb is: To jest chelb.

My question is: Why is "sa" used for "truskawki" and "jest" used for "chleb" ?

Language / Going shopping in poland ,what to say? [13]

I'm going to Poland soon and i have been learning my self some polish through reading papers and dictionaries. And some through "before you know it".

And with some help from you guys here at the Polishforum :)

What i'm wondering is ,if i'm going to one of those shops that is open at night(the ones you talk through a small window). The people who is in this shop often dont speak english.

As an example if i'm ordering a bottle of Coka cola ,is this sentence correct?

Czy moge dostac jeden duzy Coca Cola? (Will this get me a large bottle og Coca Cola?)

Or should i say:

Chcialabym jeden duzy Coca Cola.

Yes ,that and some of the liquerstores have this window ,i have been to some of them around Warsaw.
But i have had someone with me to order for me, this time i would like to order for myself and not just stand there like a jackass while others do the shopping for me ;)
