Law / Want to start Indian cafe in Poland.. [71]

I believe 'English Tea' refers to the blend as we don't have many tea bushes over here - a bit like you have 'Earl Grey' and 'Breakfast'..... could be wrong though... may have been watching too many adverts with Stephen Fry in them.

I hope it works out for you rahuldpawar.... will be good to know I can still get good Indian food in Poland (my other half hadn't heard of turmeric till he met me so was a bit worried!!!!!)

Law / Want to start Indian cafe in Poland.. [71]

:) I found that out last time I was over..... I quite happily pointed it out to him. The only problem is he wants to use it in everything. Still don't live too far from Hounslow n Southall so I think I will pop in and buy a big bag before we move.

UK, Ireland / Slainte to all those Poles who have come to the UK [13]

If it wasn't for you it would still cost £50-80 per hour fo a plumber,
It would still cost £20 per hour for a skilled builder/handyman
It would still cost a fortune to buy decent beer
Our knowledge of history would be ...... history (it's a sad fact we aren't taught about WWII in schools over here other than fro the Nazi/Japanes/Russian prospective)

We would forget how to get drunk and enjoy it
If it wasn't for you our media and bigots wouldn't have anyone to hate (other than asylum seekers, fat cats, lone parent families, footie fans.... blah, blah, blah)

But personally ..........

I wouldn't have found love........
I wouldn't have found real friends.......
I wouldn't have fond where I want to spend my life........

Slainte!

Oh ...... I am sober, at least for now .... but i wanted to raise a glass and say thank you to all you guys n girls who have the guts to make the move from Polska.

UK, Ireland / Help needed - Calling all Polish persons living/working in London [60]

Carly
Go to Willesden, Wembley, Hounlow and Feltham....they wouldbe the best places for you todo your research as there are large Polish communitiesi thee areas... but plese bear in mind that there IS a certain level of distrust towards the authorities by those who lived through the communist era (no matter how youngthey may have been).
