Love / I would love to meet a Polish woman..they are so attractive! [33]

I think most of people think with stereotype way. A polish man stink (sometimes they are yes) but I know those who know excacly what is soap for and nice fragance too.

Seanus : "I keep saying it, there's a total lack of realism between what they think they have and what they spend.

Credit culture."

tell me who doesn't live on credit these days?that's why economy crisic has affected U.S. so much.

Love / How to find a girlfriend in Warsaw? [60]

Oh my God! The whole subject is just ridiculous, seriously! Heh
BUT I'll tell U one thing- I'm pretty attractive& outgoing and had lots of dates with foreigns and I find them being too pushy far too disturbing:/ Is it the case that they are simply craving too strongly for being in a relationship?to find a girl they can go out with?

For you can be ridiculous...but for some not because it's not so simple as you see it.
differences between one cultures are obvious sometimes the others not.
I have a feeling that I'm writing about so simple things and so obvious and always simple things are the most difficult

Love / Are Polish men generally possessive? [51]

thanks eurola.. i agree with you.. he is great at cleaning too! I consider myself to be a very independent person with a good job and large circle of friends.. however, I know that I have changed pretty radically since Ive been living with 'the Pole'. He doesnt really mind my girlfriends, but male (platonic) friends are a bit of a problem. My best mate is a guy and they hate each other.

Sapphire...I think it depends on the person. But as far I was dating with different guys (not only polish ones) they all don't believe in mail-female friendship unless the guy is a gay;-)

man thinks in a little bit different way then women. Based on my experience there is no way to have mail best friend. they always want "something" more;-) you are lucky then:)

USA, Canada / Canadian Driver License into Polish [6]

Derek i found something meybe it will help

"A foreigner must live in Poland for at least 185 days in order to be eligible to apply for a Polish driver's license. They should prove they have professional or family ties with Poland in the application for the document. Some manage to bypass the regulations, however."

Food / Best donuts in Warsaw? [22]

[quote=sobieski]
That is really a joke.
I am coming from a country - Belgium - where even the tiniest village has minimum two bakeries who produce on a daily basis all kinds of great stuff.

Here in Warsaw ? The best bread I find here is is the pre-bake in the Statoil gasoline stations.... What a choice. For the rest you have the choice between horrible Schulstadt "bread" or the equally horrendous CPC bread lookalikes...

I do not care about expensive pastry in Batida or so... after all not a daily commodity (although "let them eat cake" spings to my mind here), just good decent bread.

Here in Bielany nowhere to be found.

Hi,
If you know where is Wilsona subway station. close to it there is a grocery named Europa24. They have good and tasty bread. if you need to find nice bakery in area of bielany let me know.

cheers

Love / Why are polish men so damned complicated? [53]

Probably not. It's just come as a real shocker!! Yesterday he was all over me, and today it's like a different guy. Bizarre!!!! The real pisser is he works for my Father, so I've got to see him at work everyday

Sokrates is right, besides your language barrierss you should ask him and talk to him personaly otherwise you will never now. At least you will try and you clear it up beetwen you and your boyfriend.

But I have to say that he is a player.anyhow. and I can asure You that not everyman in Poland is like him. He is like a black sheep.:D

I cross fingers for you.
