USA, Canada / Where Can I Buy Polish Music in the United States? [38]

I live in the United States and I can't seem to find a place that sells CD's of Polish bands. I'm trying to get a copy of Ocean's latest CD and I can't even find it as a downloadable file. Does anyone know where I can get this CD or others like it?

I seen a thread back about a month ago that had some Polish heavy metal bands
check that out maybe theres something on there????

Thanks. I actually saw that thread and that's where I got the names of these bands but it's so hard getting their CD's in the US. I've tried every website I could think of. I'm hoping maybe someone might know of a store or website in the US that sells Polish imports.

I saw some polish CD in Virgins music store, but it was 2 years ago

Thanks kaka, I checked the Virgin website and found that I can get a download of Ocean's CD on the UK site. I'm going to try it out later. But unfortunately, their website doesn't sell the hard copy. Everytime I try the search Billy Ocean pops up.

This store has a big variety of music CD's and DVD's

Ya that markski guy is pretty popular in the chicago clubs. not really my kinda of music
but maybe you can find a link off Youtube. I say try limewire or some mp3 sharing
site but they load you up with spyware.

Even if you've got a good anti-spyware program?

I called up the Polish music store in Illinois and they don't have Ocean's CD. Any ideas how I can get a hard copy of it?

Yes, svengoolie, I'm still looking for Polish metal but it's hard to find the actual CD's of the popular bands in Poland. I wonder if there's a reason they're not readily available here in the US.

What is a common pastry that is found in Poland at practically every bakery? Can you describe it for me? I mentioned kolaczki to someone who is from Poland and they had never heard of it before. Is there something more commonly known?

Can anyone name some popular male Polish actors in Poland who are around 30 years old? I have no idea who is popular there and it's hard to get a hold of Polish movies in the US.

Maciej Zakoscielny(Zakościelny) or Pawel Malaszynski (Małaszyński).

Thank you for these names. I've heard about Maciej before but not Pawel. He looks great.

There's also a guy, who used to play JPII (Piotr Adamczyk?) and Olaf Lubaszenko, but I think that now he is already about 40.

ahh man, I can't thikn of this guys name, but he was in Home Alone 3. His first name is Olek. He is pretty big in US. He even said" I'll squash you like a cockroach, where is the disk?" in Polish in Home Alone 3

I checked IMDB and are you talking about Olek Krupa? It doesn't say how old he is but it looks like he might be older than 30ish. Do you know anyone who is around 30?

All those actors would be elderly by now, and the older ones back then might have died. Srry I couldn't help more.

ps. I should write a one more name actor of promise for filmcasting - it's Leslaw Zurek (Lesław Żurek). He is an young theater actor who started play in a movies, for example he played in last movie of Ken Loach "These times".

First of all that is cheating. You're hurting not only yourself, but the American Goverment. After about 7,8 months of this "marriage", you get called into the immigration office to apply for a green card. Here they ask you very intimate questions about your marriage and personal stuff. Lot of times they know it's fake.

How long does it take for them to know if they passed the test? Do they tell them on that day or does it take time? And also, would the deportation happen right away if they failed the test?

What do you think about this guy? He is young Polish Actor (26), he's working for polish TV, and theaters in Warsaw and Cracow.

I looked at his website and he looks great. I had never heard of him before. Thanks for telling me about him.
