Love / Polish men and Filipino women [73]

Filipino women

I like chinese, filipino, korean, japanese women... also thailand women (but I dont know any thailand woman).

I've been out on trips in those east asian places. They are very feminine... ofcourse, different looking from european women. They look very innocent often. I find them very attractive.

I would love a serious relationship there...

Life / Religions in Poland. [64]

As far as I know, the dominant Religion in Poland is Catholic Christian Faith. But still, below I put a table...

1. Catholic Christian
2. Free thinker (or you can call them atheist...but some believe in God)
3. Protestant
4. Eastern Orthodox
5. Moslems
6. Baha'i
7. Hare Rama Hare Krishna (I actually met one.. a Polish boy, studying in the University of Rzeszów).

Thought most say they are practicing Catholic faith... it dont seem so to me.. but anyways...

I am keenly interested in the Baha'i Faith...with growing adherents...
Link: bahai.org.pl

Studies of different religion is my hobby... and of course...their effects into cultures....e.g. Poland.

Work / Moving to Jelenia Gora region - need advice about finding a job. [11]

Why dont you think about Italy?

Anyways... you are ofcourse welcome in Poland... and it is your country :D!

If you have graduation degree...job will be easier. Maybe not as good paid as in USA...

You can think of living in Warsaw... its much better there.... or Krakow... I think you should first visit for short period before finally moving.

Best of luck,

Life / Religions in Poland. [64]

About Baha'i Faith... I guess one woman cannot explain a religion by her behaviours. Often the sacred text of it are the best option to see its inside. For example, two Christians can be different in their approach...but the teachings of Christ is same for both. Depends on how good it is followed.

However, about packed Churches... it has effected the culture ofcourse. But divinity is a very arguable and complex matter.

I didnt find a Buddhist yet... but many people interested in Buddhism. Its strange that they dont really form a school of thought in Poland... but I think there are believers of it.

Baha'is are very organised... they actually form strong communities. They have study circles... and they approach with their beliefs to inform and asking to participate. Its more interesting because they accept all previous Manifestations (as they call them), being a part of the 'Progressive revelation'. This obviously attracts some attention.

However, Christianity being the dominant religion yet... it is very much on the forefront. However, the new Poland (after Communism) does go beyond to find new spiritual realms... or investigate further, into the truth. I find it interesting on how this changes ... or opens doors to changes. As is visible time after time.

As Christianity becomes more of a tradition than a religion in Poland...new religious communities seem to be immerging. As traditions keep falling, and new standards, beliefs and mentalities keep arising.... its not hard to see how a new Religion (noted to be the worlds fastest growing) might effect Poland... maybe in a distant, but not so distant future.

:)

Work / Moving to Jelenia Gora region - need advice about finding a job. [11]

its a big step

It sure is... that why I saidm first take a small trip to Poland. See the conditions, if it suits you, then stay ofcourse.

I know our economy is improving, but not so much like USA. Actually, prices are increasing more than the capacity of people I feel.

You have good experience, you husband can find a job too... but my guess will be that you will have to work harder here, and the pay might not be as good. But my guess, or anyones guess...cannot be the basis of such a big step can it? The future of your family, children... so much depends on this :).

Take it easy... think about it. And ofcourse... tell me what happened... it will be nice to know!

News / Polish incest-family case 'like Fritzl' [52]

Very sick. The world is so ill... anyways... better to think least of it!

But what actually surprised me is that the story of something so rediculous was printed in Australian News paper. Australia is so far... why so? Or how fat is this new paper? :) ... so much news they must put... from everywhere... Or do they concentrate on Poland?:)

News / Demographic twilight of Poland and Europe [14]

Dont be so skeptic... Poland will not go away... the world never ceases to exist. Whether by immigration or any other means... maybe some new means... we will have happy polish faces always smiling in Poland.

That is my belief.

Life / Mermaid (syrena) - the symbol of Warsaw [5]

Anyone who knows Warsaw, knows that the symbol of Warsaw is a Mermaid. There is alot of history/myth surrounding this particular aspect of Warsaw, however, my point is... do they exist? Do you feel, that somewhere into the unseen depths of the oceans ... there lies a civilization. There lies a species, or a kind ... called the Syren! ... or as we more commonly know... "The Mermaid"!.

However, this thread cannot begin without the picture of the mythical protector of Warsaw..

Though, infact this Mermaid (according to legend) is not Polish. According to the most famour legend, she is actually the younger of the two mermaid sisters who came from the Danish coast (so, in a way, they are Danish). The younger sister fell in love with a brave Polish warrior... but on him being killed by the Swedish, she took sword and shild to defend the city in her beloved's place.

Anyways, according to legend, Mermaids are very beautiful, and the first Mermaid concept was brough forward by the Babylonians (modern day Iraq). However, Mermens are not very attractive to them. Mermaids are by nature very curious. They are adventurous. They are girly girls :D ... but they can be mean! They often tried to enchant fishermen, and according to some legends, specially foreign fishermen who would please their eyes and make the mermaids dream! However, they would enchant these fishermen with their song, only to hold them so tightly that they would be squeezed to death! Or, the Mermaid would take hold of one sailor/fisherman and swim deep into the sea... forgetting that humans cannot breath under water.

They are also known to be bad omens for sailors...

In all its legend and myth.... the mermaid still lives. To some its still a possibility... to others a beautiful dream :).

Do you believe in Mermaids? ... would you want to meet one? ;) ...

Love / In your opinion, are most Polish women 'Easy'? [243]

so jae, tell me why if you know they want this so bad do you come in here
asking this stupid question???

Patty my dear... Its a question out of the traditional approach of some desperate men. I mean, how can a healthy man enjoy writing such a question? It is difficult to imagine.

As for Polish women, as I mentioned... they are as easy as a glass flower vase for a 3 month old. Most Polish women like the trustworthy person... they really want to have a lasting relationship. However, there are those who would do anything (still) to get a rich foreighner to go abroad. Also, there are those who are just are retarded as him. And then, there are those who are plain silly!

Maybe he met. He met a species of his kind. So I congradulate him.

Life / How important is it to have a car in Poland? [37]

after living in Warsaw for the past 5 years I can safely say that a car is an unnecessary headache.

I live in Lodz... but still, cant agree with you on that.

A car means.. umm... more independance :). It gives a feel. It gives a sense of self sufficiency. How to explain?... maybe you dont think the way I do.

Good luck.

News / What are the economical chances of Poland? [30]

I think Poland should think more on its employment issues. As the younger generation and people who seek their own home increases... Poland must look into this matter deeply.

We have enough land. We are a relatively big country in Europe. Still, owning a home is not within the reach of many Poles. Which is not something the Poles are happy about.

While the economy might be looking better than what it was probably 10 years ago. But, I seriously doubt the satisfaction level of people. Yes, it helps with the self-respect among when you go to a gathering. But at the end of the day, we need more job security, and an assurance to be able to own our own homes. All of us...in Poland.
