History / Jews-Officers in the Polish Armed Forces 1939-1945 [52]

According to the book's author, nearly 200,000 Polish Jews fought against Nazi Germany in the ranks of the Polish Armies on Polish soil and in exile.

Originally published by the Association of Jewish War Veterans of Polish Armies in Israel.

What do you think about that ? It isn't well known fact. Jews were killed in Katyn too.

Check our foreign affairs ministers after 1989.

Bronislaw Geremek

Adam Rotfeld

Stefan Meller

All with Polish Jews origin, like me. They are Polish. All doing good job. You should be happy that so many Jews want to be Poles.

I don't spend much o time thinking about how some people consider themselves.

Mine ancestors have moved here 600 years ago, I'm Polish as hell.

I don't think so.

What is your opinion about Rotfeld negotiations with Russia?

I remember seeing a bit of the movie "Uprising" where it claims incorrectly and irrelevantly (comparing apples and oranges) that the Warsaw Ghetto uprising lasted longer than the German seige of Poland.

There is huge progress and changes in showing the same events from different perspectives. Hopefuly we are closer and closer to each other.

So what? It seems to me that you demand some special recognition. Somehow the rest of Poles should be happy and grateful that you consider yourself Polish.

I don't need special recognition.

You write about the times when Kwasniewski needed to wait half an hour in front of Putin cabinet till Russian president mercifully let him in? "Our" politicians did nothing to improve Polish-Russian relations.

That's why we need US shield. *wings* :P

Why you are talking about Kwasniewski ? By the way he isn't Jew.

Personaly I am fan of people like Wildstein.

I have been talking about new Rotfeld negotiations with Russia. Museum, hostpital maybe small compensations for Katyn vicitimes. Everything for Poland everything on Russians cost.

Jewish Poles could mention many events with anti-semite background.
Maybe we should concentrate on positive sides of our multicultural state.

History / First graduates of "Jesziwa Chabad" in after WW2 Poland [2]

In Warsaw, was the first post-war ceremony of awarding powers rabbinic . Chabad Yeshiva diplomas - studies of the rabbis , received ten people . Director of Chabad Lubavitch religious organization in Poland , Rabbi Shalom Ber Stambler said that the ceremony is a historical character. By the time because of the Holocaust , Poland for almost a thousand years it was a center of learning Talmud. Warsaw Yeshiva running since 2005 . At this time, may take from 10 to 15 students. It is planned , however, larger groups.

Yes we have true Polish rabbies with Polish education. Before the war Poland was center of Jewish education much more developed than USA. Now we are planing to back to this tradition.

USA, Canada / US wants Poles to visit, spend lots of money :) [28]

I would never abandon being Scottish. Sure, I can embrace the cultures that I encounter when I travel, but u shouldn't lose ur identity through it.

Napierski is polonisated version of scottish name Napier.

News / The Polish president, Lech Kaczynski, refused to sign the Treaty of Lisbon [43]

Poland have Tescos not Walmarkts (Polish companies slowly push them form market but Tescos still make big profits), Poles buy European cars rather than American.

German companies are engaged in projects in Poland ...

it isn't deal like some people would like to present for others

News / The Polish president, Lech Kaczynski, refused to sign the Treaty of Lisbon [43]

I does have a lot to do with european integration and deal. Poles let enter Tescos Lidls only because old EU let us work there and gave us donations. We could let Americans open their walmarkts in Poland.

We had no cash on our own investemnts becuase of communist system.

Polish retaliers are stronger and stronger and started to be competitors (good article in May Forbs about situation on Polish market) but still ... you make good money here.

It is how europe works, when Poland will be stronger and will start help others and take profits like you have here.

Poles in their history were nationalists in shops ... it is nothing new... series of articles in press small re-brainwash and Tescos are empty ...

Law / Ikea suspends all investments in Poland [35]

Swedish IKEA halted all of its investment projects in Poland due to stipulations in the act on large space stores, which hinders development of such outlets. Despite earlier announcements, the government did not uplift the law left by the previous government.

Move in good direction. What kind of investment is that. Shop? sucking out money.

Life / Freemasons in Poland [41]

PS: A lot of people responsible for the Polish May Third Constitution, which BTW was the first constitution in Europe and second in the world (yes, i just had to write this ;D ), were in fact freemasons. Amongst them, the last king of Poland, Stanisław Poniatowski.

exactly :) here is topic for Joepilsudski.

First modern constitutuion in europe (second after USA) :) Poland ... Polish free massons job :)

illuminati ;) new world order :)

Another interesting fact ;) maybe not directly about free masons but ... ;)

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polish_Brethren

Most of Polish Brethren moved to the Netherlands, where they greatly influenced European opinion, becoming precursors to Enlightenment. Through their connection to Enlightenment thinkers, their ideas also influenced the Founding Fathers of the United States.

How many foreign business's are in the mall?

I am not against all foreign companies :) I am sure there is KFC and Nike (made in china with stakeholders in Saudi Arabia I havent checked this data just joke ):)

Sometimes I buy products from countries where Polish products are popular. :)
I'll never buy products form country where Polish products are not popular or someting is wrong in our contacts :)

Seeing as u like statistics, u've misspelt it three times, just for the record.

Oh, btw, we don't pluralise furniture to furnitures. Pieces of furniture, yes.

Come on preacher man, tell me all about economics. It was one of my weaker subjects at Uni so, like a Ferengi, I'm all ears.

Why I should teach you. It is enought you teach Poles here - where they shouldn't buy :)
