USA, Canada / Roads and Driving rules in Poland versus America [63]

Ladies, but did you witness any accident on those roads you mention? And why did Polish people drive as you describe? Because they were extremely careless drivers, or because the road was too narrow for such a huge number of cars? Did you ever drive in UK? Did you see how narrow roads they often have there, and what feats the drivers must perform in order to move on, e.g. drive on the sidewalk? That's because the roads are old, built long ago, for horse-carts, not cars. It's so in many places in Europe. Am I right on this one or not, folks?

Was it because I thought that a Polish/Irish combo was odd?

- Yes; you used the expresson 'odd mix.' I perhaps put it together with certain Polonophobic insults from some 'pseudo-Irish' from America, encoded in my memory.

It's not important now. Let's move on and not dwell on stuff of this sort.

All the best to you, Irisheyz, and to you, Pam.

Life / Living in Poland without working? - Your opinion [63]

Why do you guys always get pissed off at someone just because he doesn't share your opinion?

- Lady, it's you who have just got pissed off over somebody's (Puzzler's) opinion.... Read the quote above. It's your utterance..... What do you think...?

News / Polish-German Relations in the Present [697]

the history between both is very mixed up and unfortunately there are many prejudices from both sides towards each others. mostly they come from less educated people...

generally though the relationship between both countries is constantly improving...

- Well said, falkster. Let's hope we can overcome the mutual adversity and suspiciousness eventually. And let's help it happen - also on this forum.

Life / Living in Poland without working? - Your opinion [63]

Sorry man but after 4 yrs in Poland I wouldn't recommend to invest any money over here. My opinion has nothing to do with this cou

- Yeah, one needs to be real smart to make money - not just in Poland, but anywhere at all. In other words, one needs to possess high comprehension skills....

There are quite a few rich and even very rich people in Poland - Poles and foreigners alike.

Hence...

Life / Do Poles believe in supernatural stories? [14]

We were taught about supernatural stories at school whe Poand was still communist. My favorite was "Kak Lenin perehitril zhandarmov" [it's a Russian book title - P.] (how Lenin tricked gendarmes).

:)))))))))))))))))

I remember this abhorrent stupid Russki propaganda too - books for kids such as 'Timur i jevo kommanda' (Timur and his team). Totally supernatural. :))))))))))))

Perhaps you should get to know someone before makeing judments. I wouldn't be on this forum if I did not like my Polish heritage

- I judged based on your post. Some folks come to this forum because they hate Poland and Poles. Of course, you are not one of them - I know now.

Life / Do Poles believe in supernatural stories? [14]

Growing up in the Philippines, I used

- You've got great 'supernatural' stories and places. I heard lots of these stores from my Philippino friend, whose grandmother was 'the wise woman' in one of the mountain villages. Awsome stuff.

Polish people are quite spiritual and many of us are open to the 'supernatural.'

UK, Ireland / Anti-Polish sentiment of England [253]

I must honestly say, from my own long experience, that the English are among the very best nicest people I've ever met. Kind and good-hearted beyond measure. Often a bit rough on the surface, but it's just a defense mechanism; once they get to know you and see you're on the same wavelength as them, they open up to you and you see so much sweetness and gentleness you may feel overwhelmed. Such are really those allegedly arrogant English. Yes, many foreigners seem to take this perfunctory raughness for arrogance, but it's a mistake on their part. I think the English should not be called 'limeys' but 'pineapples:' rough surface and lots of sweetness underneath.

I have similar warm feelings towards the Irish, but it's another story.

News / How does Poland imagine other countries see her? [84]

The Puzzler for example, does not even know the difference between oczu and oczów!

- Ad now the Orwellian piggy pretending-to-be-English and expert on the Polish language is using a blatant lie - accusing somebody of a shameful deed that the piggy itself has done. The piggy once wrongly used the form of the Polish word: 'oczy' (eyes), Puzzlerek ridiculed the piggy for that, and the disgraced piggy is now oinking that it's Puzzi who used the word wrong. The piggy counts that every one in this forum has already forgotten piggy's post with the error and so they can be easily brainwashed into believng what piggy repeatedly tells them (according to Goebbels' rule that a lie repeated ten times becomes truth). That's the way the Orwellian kosher piggies are. Shoulod you ever trust them?

:)
PS, I'll be keeping a close eye now on the piggy's antics in the Polish language section, and pointing its total ignorance of the Polish language.

I, Puzzler, am 100 % Polish, bilingual (English-Polish), yet my family on my father's side seem to be - oh what dread! - the descendants of some weird 18th century Turkish-Jewish converts....

- I thought you didn't like your Polish heritage, but it appears you do. Sorry, sis, and no hard feelings.

So what are you gonna do now?

Wroclaw Boy, you really should've been smarter.

its great that you would take on such a project and restore a wonderful polish building to its former glory

if your country is so great why arent you living here

- I live in Poland whenever I can; I'd love to live there all the time, but the nature of the work I do doesn't allow me to do it - yet. My second home is Ireland.

But I am actually a bit different case than ordinary folks like you.

And yes, to me, Poland is a great country, and will be much greater yet. Our - let us call it: unfortunate destiny is over at last, and now there's just the bright future ahead for us, in spite of some economical hardship we're experiencing at present.

And now let me ask you: if England is so great, why on earth did you go to Poland, in spite of your wife's unwillingness?

Because you couldn't make it in England, right? Hoped making it in 'stupid' Poland would be a piece of cake, right? :))))))

And now it eventually appears you can't make it in Poland either (not tough and smart enough?), so you're blaming and vilifying the country, and pondering over how to go back to England and make some easy livin' there, e.g. by collecting the dole, right?

The usual misfit, all thumbs?

Tell me about it, Wroclaw Boy the 'developer.'

I am grateful that you both resorted to name calling

like that idiot Grzergorz

your ****** country

this fukin coutry

- You've been name-calling too - a lot. Should I say you're a really stereotypical English?

Many Poles can rightly refer to your country in exactly the same way as you've referred to ours.

please tell me whats so bad about England, for you as a Pole. Please, Please i really wnat to hear it.

- There are many things I notice, but I'd rather abstain from listing them here, because you and me aren't on the same wavelength. - I like, unconditionally and without any ulterior motives, England and the English, with all their merits and vices, the latter including silly pricks like you. As for you, you don't like Poland and the Poles. Hence I'm not going to discuss seriously the said matters with you, for the simple reason that you're no discussion partner for me.

God willing the sooner the better, asta la vista baby.

This place sucks.

- Well said, and now - action, please.

Dont cut of the hand that feeds.

- Would you allow me to shite on your hand first? Get out of my country along with your dough and creeps like yourself, please. The more so because you're an intellectual zero, bottom of the bottom as we say in Poland, a chauvinist that can't even write correctly in his own language. Just a creep from abroad puffing himself up with hubris amidst poor people. Can one sink morally lower than that?
