USA, Canada / Polish people view of the United States [54]

Then why don't they let Poles into the US? They were the only country that fought in Iraq side by side with the US. Iraq was devided 3 ways: Poland, USA and other countries.

I think Poland deserves more respect than that.

UK, Ireland / Stop the exploitation of Polish workers in the UK [101]

Poland needs to get strong and stand up on her feet.!!!!!
Poles go to other countries for work. Some countries don't want them. Americans don't want to give them visas because they think they won't return. Poles are becoming dependant on others. They have to start working together to bring the country to be an independant nation.

Then they can say f^k you to eddien in England.

I noticed Wujek needs to only make 4 posts to have a round 1000! Maybe someone else's going to take him over .

I'm working hard at it. It helps that he's not here...

Yes, the landscape is beautiful. Yellowstone Park, Rocky Mountains, the ocean. You have everything in one country. The north has snow and the south has summer all year long. People are generally friendly, depends where you are. Lot of retirees in Florida, Mexicans in Texas and California, Amish in Pennsylvania, Laotians in Wisconsin, Japanese in Hawaii, Polish in Chicago. And they all seem to get along for the most part.

However, like lef said, the Big Cats who run the country are a different story.
I'll tell later. I don't feel like talking about it now.

Love / Polish Women to be nice respectful [59]

I like to make my own money too.
Some American women I know, want to find a guy who's rich, so they don't have to work. They'll go out with him, use his money and once he's broke, they'll drop him like a hot potato. Not all American women are like that. But I'm just saying generally, from what I've seen. Sometimes it's hard to find your True Love if you're blinded by money and fame. Some people just have to get back down to Earth.

Love / Polish Women to be nice respectful [59]

That is nice to hear. I wish you the best of everything.
My brother married an American woman, and she didn't know how to cook. She would open up a can of beans and there was your supper. Put a frozen TV dinner in the microwave, and there's your lunch.

All my Polish friends know how to cook from very early in life. They observed their mothers cook and learned how to do it. They can make the most delicious meals out of nothing.

I grew up in Poland most of my life, and we didn't sit and watch TV like in America. We were always busy doing something.

How can Polish people be labeled as lazy?

UK, Ireland / English people attitude towards Poles? [761]

Why are you so angry, freddy? They have families to feed like you do. They sacrificed being away from them to earn a living. How can that make them lazy? It takes a lot of guts to leave your country, not knowing the language, being put in a hostile environment.

Have you ever tried that, freddy?

Life / Black people in Poland [357]

Go to poland. It's a beautiful country. You won't regret it.
But...smile at the people there when they look at you. Some have never seen a black person, only on TV and they might feel scared. Once they see you are not that bad, they will accept you more.

UK, Ireland / Poles in Ireland, are they second class citizens? [90]

Is'nt America all imigrant's ? and didn't they discriminate against the native Americans?

During the civil war, America was devided into the South and the North. You still meet people who don't like the Northerners coming to Florida. And that was almost 200 years ago!!!Some people will always hate others for something.

Nice to hear what truebrit is saying. We need more understanding people like that on Earth.

Did he first immigrate to the US and then was born here?
Just kidding.
I heard that saying too. America has changed, you have to use PC everywhere.
There aren't any blacks anymore, only Afro-Americans. New groups are forming, new rules, regulations, whatever you can think of, it's there.
Too much freedom. People want more! more! more! Never satisfied with what they've got.

News / Why are foreigners coming to Poland and from which countries? [119]

A lot of people from around here have roots in Poland, and for them to travel there is the Biggest Thing in the world! It means a lot to them to see where their grandparents lived and they do genealogy research.

But they don't stay there. They just visit and boost the Polish economy.

I like Indian dishes. Where I live they organize Indian-days once a year to collect money and send to India. They have Indian music, dances, art and of course - FOOD!!!!

I love the curry they use. Once I had curry fish over rice. Boy was that ever good!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pierogy was nice though

Bolo would be happy to hear that.

I live in the mid-west in America, and Poles are Very much welcomed! They are educated, cultured, moral people who bring so much into the American culture.

When someone from Poland arrives, it makes the front page in the newspapers, everybody wants to meet them, they are babied, they show them around town, take them out to eat, take them shopping, etc. University Professors come from Poland and speak about economic problems or other issues in Poland. And a lot of people come to these lectures.

We even have a sister-city in Poland. Gulcz.
Yes, Poles are very welcome here.

The Gold Rush.
In the 1800's in America, they discoverd gold in the mountains. Everybody went there. They were becoming rich! People were going crazy, they were leaving everything behind in order to have gold, more and more came. They started to fight over it, kill each other, the ones that became rich started to drink, they didn't know what to do with all that gold! The more they had, the more they wanted. All they thought about was GOLD GOLD GOLD!!!!!!!

In a way, England is this "GOLD MINE" to the Poles. They see oportunities, they leave everything behind, they want to make the best of their lives, because they are so poor.

History repeats itself.

I like that!
I will start a list like that. But the only person on it will be my "X".

Love / Krakow or nearby: LOST LOVE! [30]

What's more, if she is Polish, her surname would end in "a".

In America my mom, sisters and I, had to change name from "ska" to "ski" because they said those are two different names. So it does sound funny in Polish, but in America nobody notices.

I knew a Polish girl Julianna. It might not be Polish though.
