Language / Cases, Genders, Nominative, Instrumental...WHY? [40]

I can't sleep

Good ! ^^ Both "Ja nei mogg" and "Ja mogg nei" are okay... :P

???

I bet it's all about me

That's funny, you don't understand it, but you know that it's about you...And you may be right, LoL, this is the translation :

I am like a little cloud lost in your eyes... ;P
And "Nebben Map" is the "Map of the Sky". Nebb = niebo, Nebben = the sky.

Language / Cases, Genders, Nominative, Instrumental...WHY? [40]

Polish is so complex because it's way behind most of modern European languages in terms of evolution, which naturally leads to simplifying the rules, losing case endings etc.

I created a simplified Polish (for fun, yeah...), with no grammar variations, no genres, so very simplified ;) I called it Noopolsk, say [nołpolsk], it means "new Polish" ;)

Our mutual mindreading is not a scam it seems... !!!

You've just realized it ? :)

Hehe, i know ;)
Actually many other languages used to have all those grammar variations, many of them simplified their languages... Old English had these kind of variations, German still have them, Icelandic is one of the most difficult grammars cause the language has almost not evolved since the first people came to the land.

Love / Pornographic Polish magazines [65]

three of which were 'GT'. i looked thru the magazines to find tons of pictures of naked women on cars

GT magazines are about cars, but you may find girls in it... It's not pornographic though.

You should talk to him :) The best thing you can do, i guess.

It's not a cactus, I hope

Polonia / German nation - degradation or just deviation? Your opinions? [66]

Hehe, i think American people are "worse" ;)

Is it something wrong with nation in whole or is it only a single cases which do not represent the whole picture?

I'd say single cases. We have a similar story in France with a father killing his wife and kids... What a beautiful world... What if Louis Armstrong had lived in the 21st century ! ;)

Life / The nations Poles don't like (stats) [55]

Polson:
They say Poles controlled Ukrainians (back in like the King's day in Poland).

and that's your fault

Erm...bad quotation, it was not me, so probably not "my fault" ;)

Poles - by nature - do not like their neighbours

Well, the poll says that Poles "hate" Russians the most, but Russia isn't its neighbour, apart from Kaliningrad... :)

here it's being used (confusingly) as a translation of the Polish 'naród' which is 'ethnic group'

Polish people have always been a nation, even when they had no country, that's the definition, a group of people that share a common culture, language, religion, etc.

I'm not especially keen on the one that lives downstairs, though

Which one ? :)

Haha, i don't even know the colour of your eyes ;) LoL

it seems that 2,5% of Polish people think we are on war against Iraqs people :)

Still better than 50% of American people...... ;P

Life / The nations Poles don't like (stats) [55]

They felt more safe with Poland at that time (Poland was powerful).

You mean during the Poland-Lithuanian Commonwealth ?... or later ? Poland was among the most powerful state at that time...
I know some of the history you told me :) Thanks for the info anyway.

as to Russians and Germans I feel that I shouldn't post more stats ;)

Well...there's almost 1 Pole out of 3 who doesn't like Russians, and 1 Pole out of 4 who doesn't like Germans... i wouldn't have known that without your stats, Lukasz ;)

Cyganie is a nation?

What are they then ? If Żydzi are...Cyganie are too ;)

Hehe, Russians...
I'm surprised about Ukrainians though...why would some Poles don't like them ? (there may be something but can't remember...)

UK, Ireland / WHY DO POLISH PEOPLE THAT COME TO ENGLAND CAN'T SPEAK ENGLISH? [118]

making English-language film, both on TV and in the cinemas, MANDITORY in English, NOT dubbed into the native language of the country being screened

I agree...dubbing is okay for cartoons.
And not only for English-language films, but every other languages too, cause it would make kids ears used to other languages, and this way, it would be easier for them to learn another language (if not more).
