Life / The strangest things in Poland [468]

I've forgotten something. I find it strange that I couldn't find a clothes dryer anywhere. So much for the last min cleaning and drying.

Travel / Why is Poland so Un-Sexy? [84]

If I try and read too quick I some times miss read and I actually thought he wrote pornography

Ahhh yes pornography.....we see what on your mind. Is that what you would've like me to say? :)

I know- those old cities - hard work FISZ is not going to be impressed - he only believes in photography

I was very impressed with what I saw. I believe in capturing memories :)

if your are female of course

I think babylon's looking for man sex. I'm pretty sure Arrggh is male. But he may want your Gay Guy number :)

Just joking B, but do you agree with Arrggh? Why?

USA, Canada / I see Asda have wised up - they have a Polish section now [13]

Wrong.............walmart customers put the small shops out of business

Yes, because Walmart lowers the prices so much and the small shops can't compete. Of course people are going to try to save money.

I like photography and in my opinion, Poland is very attractive and is very photogenic. There are many beautiful qualities as well as cold dark qualities. There's something for everyone there. I'm very impressed with the quality of the reconstruction. Can't say this for many other places in Europe.

Food / Finally I get to eat Polish food again. [10]

Whenever I go to Poland I eat more than I usually do here in America. However, I don't gain any weight, in fact I usually loose weight.

Exactly. Same here.

Life / Are Polish People Racist? [1037]

especially the ones living outside of Europe, since they never learn to mistrust media in the first place.

I wouldn't say this is true about the US. We were always taught through film and history class that it was the germans and that the camps were just built in Poland.

The way they lock their apartments and cars 10 million times

I lock my apartment and car. Everyone around here does. There are tons of thieves and crooks in the tri state area. Even if you're home you'll still get robbed, happenes all the time. We all don't live in Smileyberg...yes it's a real town :) You're lucky to be able to.

They change tires for the winter...

Nobody changes tires for winter in USA

I change my tires every winter. Snow tires improve the ride dramatically. Yes, all season are ok, but I like the difference. My family and a few of my friends also do a winter change. We also go to the mtns. in Vermont a lot to ski/snowboard. In Pl the roads are really icy and rutted.

do not think so... Thwy do not change tires in Detroit either,

I'm sure some people do. You definitely get a lot of snow in MI.

I believe Americans beat Polish in gossiping... Maybe somebody else would speak up.

I'll have to agree that it's very common here. Some people are addicted to these reality shows and soap operas which are nothing but gossip and backstabbing...lame.

What was it?

I'm guessing that it was an odor caused by diesel.

Life / The strangest things in Poland [468]

The first thing that I noticed was a strange smell in the air. There are also many muzzled dogs and strays. 80-90 yr old women riding bicycles. Shoes off at the door similar to Japan..not strange just different. Having to pay to take pictures in museums. 15 yr olds in bars. Funny looking twins running the country.

UK, Ireland / Poles in GB: Why did you go - for money or something else? [53]

It's also to get a better education. I believe a diploma from a UK university holds more weight than one from PL. I know some PL that attend universities in Scotland and work part time. So it's not only for the reasons listed above. Some people do go there to better their education...not just to make money.

Life / do polish girls get pregnant while in school? [28]

Well it doesn't matter i mean it's the teenagers choice

I don't think it's up to the teenagers to get pregnant or not. These are mostly accidents. And since when are these youngsters able to make decisions for themselves....not my kids. 18 yeah you can make a decision....before that hell no.

Life / The Christmas Tree in Poland [25]

You should remember that Santa brings presents on Santa Claus Day, December 6th.

Traditionally it's said that he visit's through a chimney. What abut in PL? The open window?

As children...we leave milk and cookies as a gift. Is this done for Santa day in PL?

I hate fake ones...and people try to spray pine scent LOL

I'm curoius about the ornaments too. We have so many different styles in the US. Ever see these new inverted trees? No joke...frikkin rediculous.
