Food / Żubrówka + apple juice anyone? [41]

Żubrówka is an 'emergency' drink at my house ;) if there is nothing else, ...

Emergency??? You can't let the situation deteriorate to such scandalous situations where there is hardly any booze at home!

As a friend of mine would say to his wife: "no vodka at home and you had a nerve to buy bread instead?" ;)

History / What Happened in the Danzig Corridor 1939? Poles Slaughtering Germans? [133]

I must dispute is the accusation that the Germans used these camps for mass murders, strictly for ethnic reasons

No, you chose to dispute those facts:

"We have already formed displacement policies regarding the Polish population within Poland; the ultimate task is to wipe out the Poles and repopulate lands that rightfully belong to Germany" Adolf Hitler, April 13, 1941 speech

"All Poles will disappear from the world.... It is essential that the great German people should consider it their major task to destroy all Poles." Heinrich Himmler.

History / 1 Maja - Pochód, Labour Day in Old Poland [28]

there are plenty of examples where communism works very well.

In some respects it did, but I'm not sure if I could give an example of a country where it does across the board. Could you?

Life / How to deal with rude rich Polish people? [65]

I met one Rockefeller 1 time when I was 12!

and based on that brief meeting you formed the following opinoin?

Ive met a few of the supposed "illuminati" including David Rockefeller and I can assure u they aren't how u think they are!

How can we accept an assurance based on an experience of the 12 year old boy after a brief meeting he has with someone? Your mind seems to be stuck around the age of 10 now, so at the age of 12 you couldn't have been possibly more mature than a toddler.

Language / Use of prefixes in f.s tense/rules for forming them? [23]

I should have added in my post that prefixed forms sometimes give a future meaning, just as you corrected in my sentence! "Piszę list do Polski." = I'm writing...
vs. "Napiszę list do Polski." = I will write a letter to Poland. etc..

Careful there.. After all you can say "napisałem"

Eskimos who have something like thirty words for various kinds of snow. The question is, on which level of reality you want to be precise.

That's a myth stemming from misunderstanding of the Inuit the grammars (not Eskimo, which mean a meat eater and is offensive). They do not have 30 words for the word "snow" but they have many more lexemes derived from that word. In general English has just about as many words for "snow" as the Inuit languages.

News / Israeli youths misbehave in Poland ceremony score [47]

That's the normal Polish reasoning.

No. Actually it is a reasoning used extensively by anglo0saxons, and it is used every day in countless courtrooms. Tough childhood, abusive parents, bad neighborhood etc.

What would the reason for your own ignorance and malice be?

History / 1 Maja - Pochód, Labour Day in Old Poland [28]

I was there in mid 1970s for the first time I was in Manhattan

That's almost 40 years ago :))

I haven't been there since, it's possibly changed. It was dangerous in Newark NJ, in Philadelphia even Penn campus was not safe, Washington DC north east, LA Watts, and even San Francisco Tenderloin.

It did. People actually walk around 130th street in Manhattan. White people. Wome. With lap dogs, not Rottweilers.

About commuting, it seems that you live in NY, to some extend you have public transportation. But this luxury does not exist in most US cities.

I don't, but I did.
I have lived in the US about 8 years so I don't know "most US cities", I wonder if you do. Among the cities where I lived, NYC, Baltimore, MD, Cincinnati, OH, Buffalo, NY, Jersey City NJ and vicinity. Based on my experience, most US cities do have usable public transportation.

To be able to afford luxury of living in the single family house (sheer idiocy in my opinion) many spend over two hours commuting to work and back.

It takes about 20 minutes by train to get from Great Neck, LI to to Manhattan. People in Great Neck certainly can afford a few cars per person in a family.

Commuting from Northern NJ to NYC takes between 10 and 30 minutes (depending on the locality).

the model failed because the steps weren't folowed.. simple logical science man..

My view is somewhat similar, except that communism would have failed even if the steps were followed. One thing communists neglected to consider was that they dealt with people, not machines.

Besides, Marx didn't give one bit of crap about the so called equality and the working class. The fvcker, even though invited numerous times, didn't set his foot in a factory. Not once. All he did was spent capitalist's (Engels) money to further his own career. That's about all that Marx was good at.

History / What Happened in the Danzig Corridor 1939? Poles Slaughtering Germans? [133]

Isthatu, stop with the 'gas chambers'!...to kill six million jews in industrial gas chambers and then take the bodies to be cremated in ovens would have required Hitler to pull all of his troops off the Russian front and elsewhere, and then assign them all the specific duty of killing Jews!...they would have had to work three shifts a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year!...

Problems with math in primary school, huh?

In 1939 Wehrmach alone consisted of 4,722,000. The numbers were growing and reached 12,070,000 in 1944. If German pulled 1/2 of their Wehrmacht forces in 1942 (9,580,000) to kill and cremate 6 million Jews then it would roughly 1.5 Jews per each brave Wehrmacht soldier.

If they started at 8 am, they would be done (including the disposal of the ashes) somewhere around 5pm, just in time to get home for dinner. But of course not every brave German soldier could afford his very own incinerator, so some bodies would have been buried in mass graves. Enough of those have been documented.

But then, you'll probably argue that Jews simply tripped and fell into the pits. Germans merely covered the body filled pits with earth to prevent disease and such from spreading to other Jews.

In our Christian society, the Anglo Saxon races believe that it is our own hard work and endevours that will lead to success

********. You obviously have only a vague idea about some Christian faiths in Western Europe. You also are stupid enough to realize that the only difference between the Anglican Church's doctrine and that of Rome is who's the boss of the Church here on Earth.

The Poles are Europe's most scrounging race, jealous of wealth and success, they are always the first to embrace it when it comes their way.

And yet the Anglon-Saxon races shoved the roman Catholic church because it stopped them from getting rich?

History / 1 Maja - Pochód, Labour Day in Old Poland [28]

In the US cars are necessity, after 6PM cities are empty and dangerous, people live in the suburbs.

Yeah, that's why the population in places such as the 5 boroughs of NYC is about 10 million. The whole remaining 1/2 million commutes. Many by train, such as NJ Path train or Long Island RR.

You have no idead what you're talking about.

but it is sheer idiocy for Poles to have that many cars, requiring great sacrifices to buy, keep, and run. Presently this huge number of cars is causing a great harm to US economy and world environment

If you live in smaller localities (not large cities) that's when you need as many cars as adults in the family because the inter city communication is generally poor, while within large cities it is not so bad.

Here I think that, while historically justified, hate toward Russia makes little sense today and Poland should serve as a conduit between Russia and EU

Sure. Poland was a "conduit" before. Remember "transfer Ruble".
Enough is enough.

History / What Happened in the Danzig Corridor 1939? Poles Slaughtering Germans? [133]

I see no evidence, physical or in written records, that the leading National Socialists ever planned, carried out or attempted a genocide of the Jews...there was undeniably a plan for a mass transfer of certain populations, but this is different than industrial murder.

There was a plan like that, called Madagaskar Plan, which was originally a British idea.

As for your ignorance about the existence of any proof that the Nazis planned, attempted or carried out the genocide of the Jews, well... just by denying that you sowing a complete lack of credibility. we might debate about the numbers of victims but facts are facts and they are know to all - except for you, it appears.

Was it planned? - Aktion Reinhard

Was it attempted?

Auschwitz
Belzec
Chelmno
Jasenovac
Majdanek
Maly Trostinets
Sobibór
Treblinka

What would you call the above? Detention centers?

If still in doubt, get some information from /Karski-How-Tried-Stop-Holocaust/ the attempt that you deny happened.

Language / Pronunciation difference between Ź and Ż / RZ [83]

Only in the name Tarzan.

There is more. Some examples:

marznąć - to freeze
zmarzlina - frozen (matter)
obmierzły - repulsive
mirza - an old title used of Old Persian princes and nobility
superzespół - supergroup
erzjański - one of the languages used in Mordva (Russia)
przemarzać - to freeze through
mierzić - to irritate, to repulse, to cause negative feelings

In all these "rz" is pronounced as two sounds.

Language / Polish language problems (orthography) [47]

Chętnie kazuję sie poprawiać od Ciebie/Was!! -:)

"kazuję" is incorrect. The form is sometimes used by native Poles, to my knowledge mostly in Southern parts of Poland, notably Podhale. The correct form for 1st person singular is "każe". The problem though is that "każe" is a little too strong and suggests you are in a position to make someone do something by virtue of force or authority.

That sentence might sound better as:

Chętnie pozwalam sie poprawiać. or perhaps
Cieszę się kiedy się mnie poprawia.

UK, Ireland / The Independent about Poles in the UK: "Poles are under attack." [83]

Suffice to say that there is too much moaning on the go. U have a beautiful country with great food and a better climate than the UK. What's the moaning for?

Seanus, there is value in moaning.
Moaning lead to the collapse in communism in Poland.
If people didn't moan humans would still run away from fire and about the best way to get food would be by climbing a tree or digging a whole for that buffalo to fall in it.

Look at the US. They didn't moan. Not most, anyway. The country was "great", powerful and rich. Where did that lead them? Well, back to moaning which, hopefully, will help put that country back on a somewhat right track.

News / Polish "brainbox" comes back to Poland from the UK for a better education [77]

the british are able to structure sound and logical arguments based on fact. poles tend introduce concepts that are irrelevant to the argument or, as in your case, introduce something totally unrelated

Your statements about logic are illogical.

On the one hand you state that the British "are able" to structure logical arguments. But do they? Aren't Poles "able to" produce similarly structured arguments? You are not providing an answer, so in the end you are not comparing British logic to Polish. Instead you refer to an alleged way Poles present arguments by proposing a non-contrasting method - i.e. that they introduce unrelated/irrelevant information.

Is that information really unrelated? Is it really irrelevant, or is it you who cannot readily see the relevance of the additional information. Or are you simply unable to make a connection between the argument and data you are unfamiliar with?

That alleged "irrelevant" information may be simply further clarification, comparison, illustration, background information, explanation of context etc.

A simple example:

1+1=2
1+1=11

Both are true if we know all the facts, background and context. Logic alone is useless when facts come to play.

In conclusion; since your post doesn't adhere to basic principles of logic and debate you don't appear to be in a position to decide whose arguments are logical and whose aren't.

Life / How to deal with rude rich Polish people? [65]

WTF ur not rich when u work for wat u get paid! Rich is different! LOL U obviously don't know wat rich is.!

That is a possibility and I work for what I have. Is that a shame? Or would I look much better to you if I relied on daddy's money like you do?

You come across like a little prick, even more immature than should be granted by your young age. Of course you don't care, but I just thought you might want to know.

These people aren't like this guy they act rich but i don't think they are!

I didn't say they were. I said you never know - only I did that in a lot more words :)

Life / How to deal with rude rich Polish people? [65]

Allegedly these people have $..... although i doubt they have that much since the father still works a million hours a week despite being very old!

You might be surprised sometimes.

I knew a guy in Yonkers, NY. He looked as if he couldn't afford to fill the tank of his 20 year old chevy pickup with more than $5 worth of gas.

Well, he owned the gas station, and a few more in the area. In fact he owned the area - about 20 city blocks of houses and businesses. I don't remember how many supermarkets and real estate around the US he owned.

He worked 16 hours a day, 7 days a week, as a plumber, driver, painter and all kinds of funny jobs like that.
