Life / Assalamou Alaikum. 1 year old child passport problems [35]

Okay for one, I dont understand why you took the child on a pakistani passport, you have a british birth certificate your wife a Polish one, you have a British Passport your wife a Polish one, as for emergency, I got my last passport in a day and in fact the one before that I got in a day - easy - go to the passport office pay over the top and you get it so I have no idea why a baby was give a pakistani passport with no pakistani documents unless your fausified them in which case you reep what you sew...something not adding up for me.

News / Poland biggest problem [125]

And when that time comes… we will ban socks and sandals combination in EU!!! Ohhh ze Germans are going to be sooo furious! Wooo hooooo! ;P

Can we also ban them from going to Croatia and using the nudest beaches :)

See VISAs to the USA also. Most of people who wanted to move from Poland just moved, but we will still have VISAs

Same for anyone in Europe going to the US - Bart you seem a little bit peeved about your country for you own personal reasons but I think positive thinking and working towards a better future is the way to go, Like Matyjasz said, you have only had short period of time to clean up many years of mess, Rome wasn't built in a day :)

I'm not sure, but in my mind I would think it is easier to learn Latin if one's native language is English.... since so many of the words have Latin words in them.

You are completely correct there, a lot of legal terms are in latin and a hell of a lot of words we use in every day life.

you mean spanish? or latin?

We learn Latin in Europe usually in Catholic schools, personally I found it a complete waste of time and hated every minute of it, but now Im older I find it sometimes can be amusing!

Life / Army National Service in Poland [95]

I spent 25 months with someone in my BF's family dying, this was more than 9 months armed services ever will be

No offence but what has that got to with national service? Do you really think that there is anyone on this forum who hasnt lost someone dear to them?

Back to topic, nation service is a waste of money and in our economic climate it will never be possible to revive simply because the government will not fund it and companies will not hold open jobs like they used to.

OMG - done it. Thank you Amathyst and all that. Nursing Corps. Yup.

So what you were a TA or a regular, it was your choice! I for one would not want to....

Really? Well you go and live in a hole for 9 months and cut yourself off from family and friends and basic comforts...Tell me do you have any friend that have done compulsary service, because I have friends that served in the Israli army and its not easy and I wouldnt want to do it so I wouldnt wish it on anyone - because in Israil the women do service too....

Sounds like a bit of a rant,

No rant, just pointing out facts

its pathetic and ridiculous that you feel, so strongly apparently

Not really, you do that enough for both of us!

but i wouldn't care if i had to do nine months, wow big deal.

Easier said than done, 9 months is a long time.

You think i'm gung ho

In a word - yes

you don't know the last thing about me

Enough by your stupid statement, you are a child.

My opinion does not make me gung ho

Yes it does

for your information i'm a bit more about other people than myself

Could have fooled me

Of course people don't want to die but i'd rather go down fighting than speak for example german for the rest of my life!!!!

I arrest my case!

Actually I have my own ideas little boy, I'ts quite obvious you dont.

About 2 millions who left the country ;). Try to understand that situation in Poland in unemployment and property market is bad (or ever very bad) especially for Polish young people who are no happy with that and choose another country to live, where life is easier. Almost everyone say that speculations ruined property marked in the country, foreign and domestic speculations.

People are more unhappy with the goverment and their lack of understanding of how Polish people think or what Polish people want. You cannot blame the UK for this, blame your own countrymen for voting for them because if your government feels that it is more important to hunt down ageing sympathisers than to inject the money in to your health service (and stop doctors stricking) then its your fault not mine!

Exactly our family joins by choice and i hope your not suggesting that i would desert my own country if i was called upon. I would be the first to take up arms to defend the UK, i may be the first to die i might not but hell if i'm letting somebody invade this country.

You really dont get it do you, Y O U are not forced to do 9 months in the service, which Im sure is not pleasant - Y O U are studying and if you felt so strongly about it why in the hell didn't you join up. As for all this die for my country rubbish, no man wants to die or at least no man with half brain cell. Its easy to say when you are not in that position!

Its actually a god send you havent joined up because its all about survival and people with your "gung hoe" attitude usually get other poeple killed!

You know what I tried to be understanding and not have go but I see there is no real point, obviously I live in the land of milk and honey and all is rosey in the garden! If people her age have issues with progress what hope is there for Poland!

With respect

I love that wording :D

Ola, You are a member of the European Union just like me and every other citizen who belongs to a country which is part of the EU.

You are deluding yourself with your antiquated views......

Foreign investment in a country is to be welcomed. It allows the country to grow and prosper........I can give you an economics lesson if you want one.

Poland isn't going in the wrong direction, it's on the right tracks.

Some people dont see the bigger picture and only see what affects them LIR, its called blinkered but its quite common I hear.

Ola I hear what you are saying (to a certain degree) but dont you think that people in the UK have problems getting on the property ladder, its not as easy as you think for everyone here...In fact its quite difficult and unless you bought a few years ago or mummy and daddy have a spare 20K hanging about, most people have little chance of owning a one bed flat let alone a house.

I couldnt agree more Mr H...hence the reason Im giving it away that and the fact Polish might as well have been Chinese as far Im concerened, I blame it on the numbers I was quite enjoying it until I was told there were up to four spellings of certain numbers...I struggle with just the one in English :)

How can you not want to serve your country, that is like deserting, these people are cowards!!!

Said the guy who lives in the UK where is is no national service!

You're kinda reminding me of the guy off the Office now -

And by the way all my mums side were and are in the Royal Navy, by choice, we will never have national service in the UK again, we cant even aford the regular army we have so its not even a debate worth following!
