News / What did Poland get out of the wars and struggles for others? [1108]

Britain should have invaded Germany!!!! That is the assistance. Anything short of ground invasion was inadequate.

Britain needed rowing boats and rubber dinghys to get its forces out of Dunkirk but a full scale invasion into the heart of Germany should have been its next step?

Brilliant.

You haven't a leg to stand on now, Harry. That agreement explains Britain's obligation to Poland. No denying it!!!

"all the support and assistance in its power."

No declaration of war required but we did it anyway cus we're such nice guys.

Outrage was how they described the British when they learned of this.

Are you channelling the voice of Yoda?

Still avoiding a direct response to any question or point directed though.

I must say, this is news to me.

REVEALED, HITLER'S PLAN FOR 'DART BOMB' RAIDS ON BRITAIN

More randomness.

How's that for class. I never asked for "protection" but the fact that any one in here would need to speaks for itself. Go back in the posts and read the usage of foul degrading, non related responses. There's no need and it just lowers the standards. We can all name call and swear but theres limits. Maybe eye to eye conversations would help as you could see the hurt words cause. We are not just "tits", we are caring people that have real feelings.

I never said you were just tits, I said that you have them. Feel free to go on another misguided factually incorrect crusade.

Namecalling is wrong but the protection that was called for was because you're 'a 'lady' and the fact that people call for it says more about their outdated patronising ideas of gallantry as well as their attempts at casting opponents as 'big bad bullys' picking on the poor defenceless girlies.

Challenged is one thing, name calling and insulting, rude reply's. I'm sorry this is not called for.

No one has a right to claim protection from non-gender specific insults just because they've got a pair of tits.

Love / do polish girls consider a english man a good catch ? [126]

my girlfriend said that before she met me she would never go out with a british man, as they all cheat on their partners...

My mrs said this as well. The ironic thing is that she's full of stories of the shenanigans her friends have been up to e.g. living with married women, having a child with a woman whose married and still living with her husband, even some of the priests have kids. Whereas my friends are as good as gold. I think the thing is that British men dont want to settle down at the same age as Polish ones, we'd rather wait till we're in our 30s rather than in our 20s and this can cause a conflict.

But you seem to forget that Poland was only bound by a scrap of paper to save these brave Viennese who were defending THEIR OWN city. Sobieski could have just as easily sat at home and rested his horse, and waited for the Turks to overstretch themselves before attacking.

Sounds like 1939 but the Poles were the Brits and the Viennese were the Poles.

The Pomgolian (Harry, Kline, Irons etc) perspective appears to be that Poles are whingeing or attacking the English for betraying Poland.

I put a similar notion in the introductory statement to my post and invited you to attack that. You failed to come up with anything.

The basic points still stand regarding Polish myths cultivated by people like yourself. You nor any other plastic has managed to respond truthfully or accurately to them and until you provide a valid response to these points they will still stand. Your smokescreen regarding the chip on your shoulder about Brits hides nothing but speaks volumes by the way.

Your gallantry regarding women is refreshing if a little patronising though. The 'little ladies' are entitled to have their opinions challenged like everyone elses.

Life / Taxpayers subsidise priest's Alfa Romeo in Bielsko Biała [29]

I wonder what kind of a woman would date a priest, for me that's pretty low in fact lower than him driving a pretty standard lookin Alfa Romao.

My priest has a push bike, must be why he's single, oh no hang on a minute - he's a priest that's why he's single!

Alfa Romeo = fanny magnet

The priest knows this so thats how he rolls.

Polish could have altered military options had they been privy to "real ally plans".

There were no allies in 1939 only different countries with there own agendas.

Why do you think Britain didnt invade Germany?

Maybe if you used this on Germany?

USED WHAT?? You've given me a link to an anecdote.

Can you answer my question or not? What aircraft? Number? Fighting strength?

You cant because you dont know and cant be bothered finding out because it will shatter your carefully created victim mentality.

Please answer the basic questions I asked.

It's better to ask yourself: WHY WAS GERMANY THE ONLY COUNTRY THAT BUILT UP A WEHRMACHT AFTER WWI??????

Why dont you ask yourself that question and find out the answer by actually doing some reading rather than showing your ignorance of history with every post you make. I can understand why Harry got so p1ssed off in the end with you and Cellinski as its like arguing with school children who havent got to the European history module in school yet.

Spoon-feeding you is getting boring.

Germany would be masters of Europe, not just the continent? That sounds like a Bushism, sorry Kilkline.

I think you meant to say continental Europe.

In Britain we still refer, rightly or wrongly, to continental Europe as 'the continent'. Basically we mean everywhere but the British Isles. Its the same when people talk about America they really mean the USA and not the continent of America. Geographically inaccurate terms but part of the language nonetheless.

The aircraft needed to drop leaflets in a one off missions is significantly different to the fully equipped modern airforce required to battle the Luftwaffe.

What fighter aircraft did Britain have at this time to counter the Germans?

What Bombers?

What would we invade with when we had such a small army?

Do you know? If you dont then you how can you have an such a firmly held opinion on Britains capabilities at this time?

You seem to talk in general emotive terms and phrases with no concern for practicalities picking and choosing bits that you can provide a largely irrelevant link for.

I'll repeat:

1)England had only a small regular army
2)the only way to get forces into Poland was via the North Sea which the German navy and Luftwaffe were strong enough to prevent.
3)most French and British generals thought the Poles would be able to defend themselves better than they did, and that the Germans would wear themselves out attacking the Maginot line.

4)if it all went awrong Germany would be masters of Europe entire, not just the continent.

Those are just excuses. The North Sea was NOT the only way in.

What was then? Please specify.

Wouldn't you rather call us "Poles in the Diaspora"????

No, my wife is a 'Pole in the diaspora'. Thats different from claiming nationality from ancestry.

Can you tell me what, exactly, you mean? I am not familiar with your terminology. I have no plastic additions, last I checked.

The term 'plastic' is used to describe someone who claims an ethnicity/cultural identity other than the one they were born and raised in. They often do this to make up for growing up in a country without a culture or longstanding history that they can feel proud of so they link themselves to another country to make themselves feel more interesting and 'ethnic'. They are often found to have outdated cartoonish ideas about the land of their ancestors.

Such people are more often than not found in the colonies of Australia and the Americas.

Don't you realize how difficult it would be for the US to intervene at the time? Now, no, back then, yes. Britain was much CLOSER!!!
Best scenario would have been Britain and France attacking Germany right after the Polish invasion, with US backing them up ASAP.

You neglect to show why the post was written. Response are sometimes made to some really nasty anti Polish posts. Look back at some of the posts.

Can Brits respond back then, or is it only plastic Poles who can be offended?

Germany wanted to completely obliterate Poland and Europe did nothing.

When was it known that Germany wanted to 'obliterate' Poland?

Why would 'Europe'(a continent, not a single country I should add) do anything? Did 'Europe' do anything when previous nations had invaded their neighbours?

I saw a different group doing the name calling.

No, you noticed a different group doing the name calling. On the previous page alone we can see the following:

your slimy island

scummy fuzzy pompon ass

your gay ass

Imagine the shouts of polonophobia if these insults were directed at someone who wasnt British.

This is why the best chances were right after the invasion of Poland by Germany. Would have been much more difficult managing a war on two fronts.

Its a shame you and Cellinski werent around in 1940 to tell Europe's military and political leaders where they were going wrong. Its something we'll all just have to live with I guess.

Oh PLEASE!!!!! How many degrading, anti Polish posts have been posted by British members of this forum???? It seems like a free-for-all and relentless bashing. That is what I am responding to. Just who is it, really? Who are the ones taking out their bitterness on other members of this forum?

Brits question the myths.
People of Polish descent get upset by this audacity and start name calling.
Brits reply by winding up the Plastics.
Plastics respond with accusations of 'polonophobia'.
Brits laugh into their keyboards at the gullibility of the Plastics.

This is generally how it goes.

You know, the irony is, Britain and France would have been better off fighting at this time instead of waiting. They just gave Germany more time to build up the wehrmacht.
That's why the Blitz starting in 1940 was so intense. Britain would have been better off had they fought a war in Germany on the ground right after Germany invaded Poland. They left themselves wide open for the Blitz. Tsk. Tsk.

I think the German military was a stronger force than the British one in 1940.

Sometimes this forum is a support group for Plastic Poles whinging about how Britain never did enough for them. Anyone who attempts to question the mythology surrounding these bonding sessions is told to stfu and stop intruding on their mourning process. Brits have a right to defend themselves from what they see as false accusations as much as Poles do.

I was merely responding to a statement that "Poland did fuk all for anyone" during World War 2.

When I said this the emphasis was on the word 'for'. The motivation was what I was questioning.

I will be nice than and tell you: tasteless jokes about wars you Brits lost. Go on, don't be shy.

I'd love to be able to tell such a joke but the subject isnt exactly a rich seam for comedy. Theres not alot to work with really.

Show me your superiority and your sense of humor.

Been there, done that.

What no funny joke about them?

Who?

What did Poland get out of the wars and struggles for others?

You never had a war or struggle for others. I believe this point has been established.

It is rather sad, I would hope after all this time others could at the least reccognize the price paid by Poland's people. What the Polish people did for others, and the strength of our people.

Poland indeed paid a heavy price but it was a price they paid for no one but themselves. They went to war for no one but themselves.

In short, they did fuk all for anyone.

It's better that you stop embarrassing yourself and your country. Ask Harry to recommend you some reading material on British history. You are lacking big time.

We've lost a few, but when it mattered.....well, modesty forbids me from finishing the sentence.
