History / Poland-Russia: never-ending story? [1341]

we know that ...
honestly do you think Russia will use nuclear wepons ?

so I think it is good that they spend their money on bombs they are not going to use ...

and it is great they showed their face for whole world ... Do you remember Blair talking about Putin that he is true democrat... or Chirac Schoreder greate friends of Putin ...

now Russia is second China ... important but dangerous ...

History / Poland-Russia: never-ending story? [1341]

yes we know that ... but there is one very important thing ... most of European leaders realized that Russia is dangerous ... and everybody look on them like on China ... it is very importand partner but (...)

so we dont have to be that one who shout: "Russia this Russia that". It is enought to compare articles in western press abut Russia now with those form the past ... Now we can act more proffesionaly ...

History / Poland-Russia: never-ending story? [1341]

celinski I dont think that historical facts are needed in this case ...

it is enought to look on current situation there

news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/7110910.stm

but there is one fact ... Russia isnt so strong as it pretends to be ... and they made false start ... they are still poorer than they were before '89 and rest of the world is definately richer ... they spend money from gas and oil on their widely understanded prestige, what means ... space ships, new wepons, they dont reform their country and some bilioners instead of investing their money in Russia prefer to buy properties in UK or football clubs LOL ... it is really good because in this race they are going to lost again ...

History / Poland-Russia: never-ending story? [1341]

I would like to notice that it is Russian article but I found some other facts there

"But the Kremlin is well aware that Tusk is not a friend of Moscow. He will not restore relations with Russia to the detriment of the Polish national interests. Ukraine is one example. The prime minister promised to give "all-round support to Kiev's pro-European aspirations." He did not mean so much integration into the European Union (Brussels has made it clear more than once that this will not happen in the foreseeable future), as the NATO entry. Poland will try to get Georgia into the bloc as well."

"... he said that "Warsaw perceives Russia as it is." They paid more attention to the other part of his statement: "We must resume dialogue with Russia. We want to deal with it." ... "

so we will see what will happen but I think that there will be the end of Russian embargo and our veto on EU - Russia agreement

There are problems between Poles and Russian but, as i can see its more on state level, then on the level of people.

I will answer you here

Yes in this point I can agree that most of problems are on state level, not people ... (a litle bit different situation than with Germans) but slavdom in Poland sounds like joke ... get over it

News / Donald Tusk - Polish Prime Minister's Expose [13]

we dont turn back, we just take our soldiers form Iraq and we contiune our mission in Afghanistan ...

as to France and Germany ... when tehy are so pro american now (they dont have any forcesin Iraq) we can improve our realtionships with Russia ... simple and it will work ...

and in my opinion we should realy turn back on USA and look for friends or alies in region ... america will be first to sold us ... when they will have a business to help us they will call us friends when they will not have it FOX will show us properly to the situation

News / Donald Tusk - Polish Prime Minister's Expose [13]

The new Polish Prime Minister, Donald Tusk, has told parliament that his government will refuse to sign the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights.

Mr Tusk said the decision was out of respect for a deal negotiated by the previous conservative government.

news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/7109528.stm

Is there chance that Tusk publicly and diplomaticaly support Serbs?

honestly I dont think so ... but maybe when it seams that PL - RUS relations are going to be better ... maybe

News / Donald Tusk - Polish Prime Minister's Expose [13]

I have watched it ... (yes I m crazy ;) )

it was very long ... but in my opinion a lot of interesting things have apeared ...

We leave Iraq in 2008

We stay in Afghanistan as long as it will be needed

as to EU constitution we will use British output

as to taxes they are going to lower them

and there was point about cuting in spendings

decentalization (more power for local gov)

less bureaucracy ...

and a lot of internal cases ...

whta is importnat the lack of A Lepper and R Giertych is noticable :)
