Food / MARMITE IN POLAND? [96]

. I wish you hadn't mentioned crumpets i've just run out!

I decided Im having a sluttish dinner this evening - I have dairylea in and marmite, I just need to pick up some crumpets on the way home!

if they were the Poles would probably smother them in tomato sauce.

Bloody savages! ;0)

the champagne marmite is not as good as original. i

It's vile!!!!! I got some after valentines last year (obviously not paying full wack when it's going to come down in price the day after) and tried it once and it was just WRONG!!!

Cheddar are doing a cheese with marmite, they're the little bit size ones too, not really impressed to be honest...

that settles it, there is now no barrier to me moving to Poland.

Could your mum not send a red cross parcel :)

I wouldn't imagine, they're an English thing.

Whilst everyone is going on and on about Afaganistan and Iraq, there is a war going on in Pakistan, thousands of Pakistani soldiers and police have been murdered by the taliban over the last few years - unregulated madrasa are a cause for concern.

News / Poland..wake up to a multicultural world [1059]

Well, yeah, they have done that but that was before. I predict things will change and the Chinese will take over. If they had other places to live they could have bigger families, right? So that's all the reason they need. Get ready to become an extention of China :)

Some how I don't think so, as for sizes of Chinese families, I didn't realise they were known for that, they're not in the UK, they have 2 kids 3 max...Personally I only know 2 Chinese people both are married to English people one couple has no kids and the other had 3 kids (both couples are in their late 30s)..

just wait until the Chinese start emigrating

Are you kidding, some of the oldest immigrant communities in the UK are chinese and if you bother to look at American history you will find that the chinese have been there for a velly velly long time. The Chinese seem to integrate, work hard and demand nothing, they are more than welcome.

News / Poland..wake up to a multicultural world [1059]

You will be "encouraged" and you will be told you need to take your quotas of refuges and asylum seekers...Do you think 50 years ago in the UK it was all open arms and liberal thinking? EU will ensure you comply...simple as really. But I hope you introduce such things as points based systems and keep "discouraging" mass immigration.

Just out of curiousity, can foreign (non EU) students who have been residing in Poland qualify for any rights (perm residency) after they have been there for so many years? Can they apply for citizenship?

Life / 800 thousand Polish women are victims of domestic abuse yearly [180]

i'm not talking about victims lightheartedly...but some victims ''choose'' to be victims....

Can I call you a f**king idiot? Okay, you're a f**king idiot!

by the way I'm talking about continuous abuse here....free will and all that...get up...open the door...and leave.

If it was that easy women wouldn't have to get injuctions out on ex partners - they wouldn't have to live in battered wives refuges...

Again, can I call you a complete knob?

Love / How can a black man get a Polish women [248]

you're right there's no room for intolerance.

You're right, but how about people practice what they preach when they are in their own countries:

telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/politics/lawandorder/5047396/British-mother-jailed-for-adultery-in-Dubai-loses-custody-of-sons.html

Another reason not to marry certain minorities?

Wonder what he'll get? Probably legal aid and his family will get benefits because he wont be able to provide for them!!!!!

Love / Why are polish men so damned complicated? [53]

But you're looking from a position where you're smart, ambitious and emotionally uninvolved, if she loves him thats really a lot to casually throw away based on one fucked up joke plus there's significantly less ambition in there.

I wouldn't want to be with someone who found it funny to intentionally upset me, simple as really and we have a saying in the UK "many a true word said in jest"

Hey, everybody has dated idiots. Someone makes a mistake, ok, that's strike one. Another mistake, then strike two. If it gets to strike three then you're out.

I have a one strike rule!

You're damn right I would...Are you telling me that if your g/f told you "Hey Honey Im shaggin an English guy at the moment" you'd welcome her with open arms when she tells you that she was joking? Age has nothing to do with this, he sounds like he was born a prick!

Have a sit-down talk with him and tell him that you want a one-on-one relationship. If he goes for it then fine. If he hedges then you know where you stand with him.

Disregard this advice, dump his rotten arse, it's quite obvious the twat has no respect for you whatsoever.

Food / Why do Poles just not "understand" healthy eating ?? [82]

Some cheap foods can be quite nutritious.

I can vouch for that I could happily live on lentils and beans (dont mean beaked beans either).

Although, I will say one thing, a few years ago when the Poles first arrived in the UK I didnt see one porker, now Im starting to see more and more porkers speaking Polish, more access to crappy processed food is obviously not good for anyone regardless of nationality.

On the up side I didn't see one fatty when I was in Poland...

News / Poland..wake up to a multicultural world [1059]

\in Greece they call them the German family I believe

His name is Philip Moutbatten (which was formally Battenburgh) - There actually isn't very much Greek about him. You are quite right, my friends ex husband is Greek and used to call him a German :)

is a son of an imigrant(living father is greek).

Born Prince Philip of Greece and Denmark at the Greek Royal residence of Mon Repos on the island of Corfu on June 10 1921, Philip was instantly fêted by his family as a future hope of one of the world's most celebrated Royal dynasties. His father, Prince Andrew, was the grandson of King Christian IX of Denmark, while his mother, Princess Alice of Battenberg, was the eldest child of Prince Louis of Battenberg, and sister to Earl Mountbatten of Burma. Yet for all the privileges enjoyed at the start of his life, the young Prince's early years were to prove anything but easy. The idyllic island life lasted a mere 18 months.

Sorry did you say Greek? One thing Im keen on is the history of MY countries Kings and Queens - something people like you know nothing of because they have no interest to you, until one of them mentions "Islam"...PMSL!

ragtime27

LIke I said read some history before spouting rubbish! Oh and what was it our good old little Harry called his asian comrade? Oh that's it, it was a p*** - as for what Prince Charles said about Islam, I'd take that with a pinch of salt, do you honestly think he'd mix with them?

[quote=Trevek]Maybe this will explain a few things:/quote]
I think you just confused him now ;0)

Just to point out - Cheddar cheese is made in Cheddar - not in Ireland or Scotland - so whilst you might think you are eating "Cheddar" cheese, you're not.

Love / Whose Life is it? Polish girlfriend under family "house arrest" [224]

Very funny.....if was another religion hmmmm let's Islam as an example :)

your answer would be totally different......poor soul.

Nuns chose their life, they chose to serve god, they chose to dress in a habbit - it's part of the uniform... They are not forced by anyone, as I have already stated, they play a massive role in the RCC and in every day life...As for muslims lol if the taliban get their way women will be just massive baby making machines with no education. Did I mention that nuns are teacher too? I have a lot of respect for Bhikkhuni's too - female Bhudist monks who also chose their way of life too.

Harry

Harry I am not going to debate further on this, simply because I feel that some institutions should remain as they are, you may call it archaic, but I say that traditions only start to die out when you start to dilute them. The roles in the RC church are as they are and should not be tampered with. I haven't read your links because I have my beliefs and opinions on this and you obviously have yours.

You are the one claiming that the RC church is entirely equal.

Im not claiming anything - you started this debate, Im still trying to work out why, when this thread is about some poor bastard being dumped by some Polish girl.

And god's representative on earth (in the eyes of the RC church) is always from which sex?

lol, Harry - of course it's a man, same as Adam came first and woman was created from man - do you think anyone cares about this? Do you think nuns should be rioting in the street for equal rights? ;0)
